इस साल साहित्य के नोबेल पुरस्कार प्राप्त लेखक मारियो वर्गास ल्योसा अपने जीवन, लेखन, राजनीति सबमें किसी न किसी कारण से विवादों में रहते आये हैं. इस बार उन्होंने विकीलिक्स के खुलासों पर अपनी जुबान खोली है. इन दिनों वे स्वीडन की राजधानी स्टॉकहोम में नोबेल पुरस्कार समारोह के लिए गए हुए हैं. वहीं एक बातचीत में इस वेबसाइट द्वारा किये गए खुलासों पर एक दो तरह की बातें कहकर एक नए विवाद की शुरुआत कर दी है. उन्होंने एक तरफ तो इन खुलासों का स्वागत किया है, लेकिन दूसरी तरफ यह भी कहा है कि बहुत अधिक पारदर्शिता अंतिम परिणति में खतरनाक साबित हो सकती है. उन्होंने कहा है कि पारदर्शिता अच्छी बात है क्योंकि इससे हमें बहुत सारे झूठ, छलावों, षड्यंत्रों का पता चल जाता है. लेकिन अगर सभी तरह की गोपनीयता खत्म हो जाए, निजता का स्पेस खत्म हो जाए तो मुझे समझ नहीं आता कि सरकारें किस तरह से काम कर पायेगी. सरकार की जवाबदेही बनी रहे इसके लिए पारदर्शिता ज़रूरी है लेकिन सरकार के कामकाज के लिए थोड़ी गोपनीयता का होना भी ज़रूरी होना चाहिए.
उन्होंने कहा है कि दुर्भाग्य से प्रजातान्त्रिक राज्यों में इस तरह के खुलासे होने की अधिक सम्भावना रहती है क्योंकि वहां खुलापन होता है. लेकिन उन देशों में ऐसे खुलासे होने की सम्भावना कम होती है जहाँ डिक्टेटरशिप होता है. क्योंकि उन देशों में खुलापन कम होता है. अधिक ज़रूरत तानाशाही के खिलाफ लड़ाई को तेज करने की है. उनकी सत्ता को कमज़ोर करने की है. न कि ऐसे प्रयासों की जिससे लोकतंत्र की जड़ें कमज़ोर हों और देर-सबेर वे भी सर्वसत्तावादी व्यवस्था की ओर बढ़ जाएँ. उन्होंने कहा है कि विकीलिक्स जैसे खुलासे आखिरकार लोकतंत्र को कमज़ोर करेंगे.
मारियो वर्गास ल्योसा के इस बयान पर लैटिन अमेरिकी देशों में व्यापक प्रतिक्रिया हुई है. इस दक्षिणपंथी लेखक के बयान को अमेरिका के समर्थन में माना जा रहा है. उनके मूल देश पेरू के अखबार ‘एल कोमर्सियो’ ने पुरस्कार से ठीक पहले ल्योसा द्वारा दिए गए इस तरह के बयान को गैर ज़रूरी और आश्चर्यजनक बताया है, क्योंकि अपने लेखन में वे खुद खुलेपन के कायल रहे हैं.
ल्योसा के विचारों में आए बदलाव को देखते हुए इस बयान पर कोई आश्चर्य नहीं हुआ. वो तो इतना समझते ही होंगे कि ताकतवर प्रजातांत्रिक देश भी अक्सर तानाशाहों जैसा ही व्यवहार करने लगते हैं. चलिए उन्होंने हो सकता है नोबल पुरस्कार का कर्ज उतारा हो. सार्त्र ने यूं ही नोबल लेने से मना नहीं कर दिया था.
विकिलिक्स के खुलासों से निस्संदेह सम्पूर्ण विश्व सकते में है!जहाँ तक वर्गास ल्योसा कि प्रतिक्रिया का प्रश्न है उनका मत सही प्रतीत होता है क्यूंकि अधिक पारदर्शिता कि परिणिति निश्चित रूप से भयावह हो सकती है!जहाँ तक गोपनीयता भंग होने या लोकतंत्र कि जड़ें कमज़ोर होने कि बात है,हालाकि स्थिति कि गंभीरता को देखते हुए ल्योसा का बीच का रास्ता अपनाने का मत ठीक लगता है पर अब इन विवादस्पद खुलासों के बाद अब ये बहस कमज़ोर हो गई है जहाँ अमेरिका समेत कई देश इसका विरोध कर रहे हैं(वेबसाइट के संसथापक जूलियन असान्ज़े अभी कैद में हैं उनके वकील ने कहा है कि यदि असंज़े को कोई नुक्सान पहुँचाया गया तो वो अत्यंत गोपनीय सामग्री सार्वजानिक कर देंगे! )वहीं कुछ देश इसके पक्ष में हैं (जैसे लाकसका कि रिपब्लिकन पार्टी कि प्रक्मुख नेता सराह खुलेआम कह चुकी हैं कि ‘’अमेरिका के ६ दस्तों को खोजकर असंज़े को उनका सफाया करना चाहिए !’’पारदर्शिता ‘’होना भी ज़रूरी है ताकि खून खराबे और ज्यादितियों से बचा जा सके !
