प्रियदर्शन मेरे प्रिय कवि हैं. शायद इसलिए कि उनकी कविता अक्सर हमारे साधारण जीवन के इर्द-गिर्द से अपने विषय उठाती है, उसको बयान करती है. सादगी के वैभव के इस कवि की कविताओं में अक्सर मैं अपनी आवाज पाने लगता हूं. जैसे यह कविता- प्रभात रंजन

पैसे
एक
बहुत पैसे कमाता हूं
ज़रूरत, शौक या दिखावे पर खरचने के लिए
अब सोचना नहीं पड़ता।
मॉल और मल्टीप्लेक्स में धड़ल्ले से जाता हूं
अब पहले की तरह डॉक्टर के पास जाने के पहले नई सैलरी का इंतज़ार नहीं करना पड़ता
या महीने के आखिर में मेहमानों के चले आने पर पैसे का इंतज़ाम नहीं करना पड़ता
इसके बावजजूद न फिक्र घटती है
न तनाव कम होता है
उल्टे वह बढ़ता जाता है
सबसे ज़्यादा बढ़ती है असुरक्षा
उससे कुछ कम, लेकिन फिर भी काफी, बढ़ जाती है अतृप्ति।
सबसे कम बढ़ती है खुशी.
बल्कि उसे खोजना पड़ता है,
उसका इंतज़ाम करना पड़ता है
जिसमें बहुत पैसा लगता है
और ये भ्रम भी बनता है
कि और पैसा होगा तो और खुशी खरीद लाएंगे हम।
धीरे-धीरे यह भ्रम यकीन में तब्दील होता जाता है
फिर ज़रूरत में और अंत में आदत में।
इस बीच पैसा कमाने की दौड़ बड़ी होती जाती है
हांफती हुई उम्र अपने लिए उल्लास की तलाश में निकलती है
और बाज़ार जाकर लौट आती है- किसी कचोट के साथ महसूस करती हुई
कि ज़िंदगी तो छूट गई पीछे।
दो
बहुत पैसे कमाता हूं
लेकिन तब भी कुछ लोगों के आगे कम लगते हैं।
क्योंकि जो ऊपर हैं वे बहुत ऊपर हैं।
जिस रफ़्तार से मैं पैसे कमाता हूं
उस रफ्तार से मुकेश अंबानी जितने पैसे कमाने के लिए
मुझे 72,000 जन्म लेने पड़ेंगे।
या करीब इतने ही लोगों के जीवन से खेलना पड़ेगा।
इतनी उम्र या इतनी ताकत
मानव रहकर तो नहीं आ सकती
उसके लिए शायद राक्षस जैसा कुछ बनना पड़ेगा।
जबकि यह अभी ही लगता है,
पैसे भले कुछ बढ़ गए हों
मनुष्यता कुछ घट गई है
अपनी भी और अपने आसपास भी।
आवाज़ें सुनाई नहीं पड़तीं, दृश्य दिखाई नहीं पड़ते।
लोग बहुत दूर और पराए लगते हैं
उनका कोई सुख-दुख छूता-छीलता नहीं।
अपने सुख-दुख का भी पता कहां चलता है।
जब कभी आईना देखता हूं तो पाता हूं
कोई अजनबी खड़ा है सामने
पूछता हुआ, कहां खो गए तुम?
तीन
निकला नहीं था मैं पैसे कमाने
भटकता हुआ आ गया इस गली में
इस भ्रम में आया कि यहां शब्दों का मोल समझा जाता है
ये बाद में समझ पाया कि यहां तो शब्दों की पूरी दुकान लगी है।
मुझे लोगों ने हाथों-हाथ लिया
क्योंकि शब्दों के साथ खेलने का अभ्यास मेरा खरा निकला।
जिसने जैसा चाहा उससे कहीं ज़्यादा चमकता हुआ लिखा।
जितनी जल्दी चाहा, उससे जल्दी लिखकर दिया।
लेख लिखे, श्रद्धांजलियां लिखीं, कविता लिखी, कहानी लिखी,
साहित्य की बहुत सारी विधाओं में घूमता रहा
किताबें भी छपवा लीं
संकोच में पड़ा रहा, वरना दो-चार पुरस्कार भी झटक लेता।
हिंदी साहित्य और पत्रकारिता में जोड़े ढेर सारे पन्ने
और हर पन्ने की पूरी क़ीमत वसूल की
लेकिन यह करते-कराते, कभी-कभी लगता है
खो बैठा उस लेखक को, जो मेरे भीतर रहता था
दुख सहता था और संजीदगी से कहता था
कभी-कभी जब उससे आंख मिल जाती है
तो अपनी ही कलई खोलती ऐसी बेतुकी कविता सामने आती है।
हिम्मत है तो लालच छोड़कर लेखक को दोबारा खोजो। वरना ऐसी बेतुकी बातें करने में समय गंवाने का क्या मतलब प्रियदर्शन बाबू। ज्यादातर आदमी यहीं फंसा हुआ है।
'या करीब इतने ही लोगों के जीवन से खेलना पड़ेगा।
इतनी उम्र या इतनी ताकत
मानव रहकर तो नहीं आ सकती
उसके लिए शायद राक्षस जैसा कुछ बनना पड़ेगा…..'.
