(ग़ालिब से थोड़ी गुस्ताखी की हिमाकत करते हुए)
कोई उम्मीद लौट कर आये
कोई सूरत कहीं नज़र आये
प्यार बनकर जुनूँ चढ़ा सर पर
इक भरोसे सा दिल के दर आये
सुब्ह के भूले से कोई कह दे
शाम से पहले दोपहर आये
जाता बादल क्यों मुड़ के देखेगा
लौटते वक्त तो इधर आये
कोई जि़द ले के घर में बैठा है
उसके दर तकये रहगुज़र आये
ख़ुशनुमा दिन है साल का पहला
कोई अच्छी भली ख़बर आये
हाथ दिल पर है होंठ होंठों पर
बात कैसे ज़बान पर आये
सर्द आँखों पे धूप का चश्मा
जि़दगी किस तरह नज़र आये
आगे आती थी हाले दिल पे हँसी
अब यही बात सोच कर आये
उसके आने का दिन कहाँ मंसूब
जाने किस वक्त और किधर आये
हम वहाँ हैं जहाँ नहींहम ही
और दुनिया की हर ख़बर आये
ले के सारा जहान फिरताहै
तब तो घर में रहे जो घर आये
नींद आये तो किस तरह आखि़र
नींद से पहले आँख भरआये
देखता राह कबमैं मंजि़लकी
हूँ सफ़र कि हमसफ़र आये
आदमीयत जहाँ नहीं जि़दा
हो शजर भी तो क्या समर आये
वरना जम जायेगा रगों में ही
अब लहू आँख में उतर आये
जान जाने के हर तरफ़ चर्चे
कुछ तो आने की भी ख़बर आये
स्याह मंज़र है दूरतक फैला
सुर्ख़ सूरज कहीं उभर आये
खोलकर नामाबर ही पढ़ लेता
ख़त क्यों ‘अनिमेष’ लौट कर आये

अच्छी ख़बर कहीं से आये
झोंका इधर कहीं से आये
उसके लिए न जाना उस तक
सूरज नज़र कहीं से आये
घर की हर दीवार में खिड़की
बाहर नज़र कहीं से आये
लड़की पानी पाती बानी
ख़ुशबू डगर कहीं सेआये
ठहरा जल है फेंको कंकड़
दिल में लहर कहींसे आये
इतना सूना सा है गूँजे
सूखे न हों उसके जाने के आँसू आँखों में
कोई इतनी जल्दी आ जाये तो कैसा हो
हर दिल में अपना दुख देखें सबसे गले मिल लें
सबमें ये बेख़बरी आ जाये तो कैसा हो
पहले पहल फूलों से लब उसके झुक कर चूमूँ
और होंठों पर मिट्टी आ जाये तो कैसा हो
और भी कई शेर देखे जा सकते हैं
सरल, सहज और प्रभावी ग़ज़लें।
अनिमेष के यहाँ न तो साहित्य की कोई विधा न कोई विषय ही अस्पृश्य है | जिन चीजों के ऊपर कोई कविता की कल्पना भी नहीं कर सकता अनिमेष बड़ी सहजता से कविताओं की लंबी शृंखला लिख देते हैं | कवि के रूप में अपनी अलग पहचान बनाने वाले अनिमेष उसी सहजता और प्रवाह –लय के साथ कहानी नाटक और गजल भी लिखते हैं | बिना किसी शोर शराबे और किसी प्रचार तंत्र के वे इन विधाओं में भी नए प्रयोग कर रहे हैं – नए प्रतिमान बना रहे हैं |
दुष्यंत कुमार और शमशेर के बाद तो ऐसी स्थिति बन गयी है कि हिन्दी का कोई स्थापित कवि गजलों से सायास परहेज करता है | दूसरी ओर अपने को गजलगो कहने वाले हिन्दी में लिखी जाने वाली गज़लों को गजल मनाने से ही इंकार करते हैं | ऐसे में भावनाओं को कई स्तरों पर छूने वाली गजलों को लिख कर अनिमेष ने जो साहस दिखाया है उससे साहित्य के प्रति उनकी अदम्य प्रतिबद्धता प्रगट होती है | जहाँ गालिब के आगे सभी गजलगो बौने हैं अनिमेष ने उसी जमीन पर एक नयी जमीन खड़ी कर अपनी इंद्रधनुषी काव्यतमक प्रतिभा का एक और रंग प्रस्तुत किया है | कामना है नए वर्ष में साहित्य सृजन के नए आयाम स्थापित करें |
आदरणीय प्रभातजी! नमस्कार और नववर्ष की बधाई! अनेक शुभकामनाएँ! अनिमेषजी मेरे प्रिय कवि हैं। 'मिट्टी के फल' नामक संग्रह में पहली बार मैंने उनकी कविताएँ पढ़ी थीं और बहुत प्रभावित हुआ था। उनकी पीढ़ी के कई कवि अपनी राह से इधर-उधर हुए, पर वे जीवन की एक गहरी आत्मीय और संवेदनशील समझ लिए हुए शुरू से ही रचनाशील हैं और हिंदी की नई पीढ़ी में अपनी संकोची, धीर और मौन प्रवृत्ति के बावजूद बेहद विश्वसनीय कवि माने जाते हैं। उनके कवि-रूप से मैं परिचित हूँ और बहुत संजीदगी से उनकी रचना-यात्रा पर ध्यान लगाए रहा हूँ और यह तो जानता था कि वे शायरी भी करते हैं, पर आज पहली बार, प्रभातजी, आपके प्रयास से मैं उनकी ग़ज़लें पढ़ सका। सभी ग़ज़लें अच्छी और स्तरीय हैं, पर कुछ शेर तो कमाल के हैं। मैं आपको धन्यवाद देता हूँ कि आपका 'जानकीपुल' मेरे लिए अनिमेषजी के इस रूप तक पहुँचने और उसे जानने-समझने का सेतु बना। अभी सप्ताह भर पहले वे हाजीपुर आए थे। हम दो बार मिले और एक साथ नवलजी से मिलने भी गए। मैं अब तक जिन भले लोगों से मिला हूँ, उनमें अनिमेषजी भी एक हैं।
