मुट्ठी भर प्यार, हाशिए पर नफरत
प्यार क्या है
एक अदृश्य ताकत?
जो आपको खड़ा होने की हिम्मत देता है खिलाफ बह रही तमाम हवाओं के खिलाफ
जो आपको सिखाता है कि जीना है तो मरने के लिए रहो हरदम तैयार
और आप मेमने को खाने पर अड़े भूखे शेर से भी लड़ने को हो जाते हैं खड़े
जब तक यह अदृश्य ताकत आपके भीतर बहती है
तेज से तेज बहाव वाली नदी, बड़े से बड़ा समुद्र और ऊंचे से ऊंचा पहाड़
आपको अपने कदमों पर लोटता नजर आता है
आप डंके की चोट पर कहते हैं कि अभी सूरज को नहीं दूंगा डूबने
प्यार क्या है
एक अदृश्य बेड़ी?
जो अनुकूल बहती हवाओं में भी सूंघती फिरती है तरह-तरह की आशंकाएं
जो पिंजरे में रहने की देती है हरदम नसीहत और उड़ने से रोकती है आपको खुले आकाश में,
और तब आप अपने वटवृक्ष होने की संभावनाओं को लतर के पौधे में बदल देते हैं
जब तक यह अदृश्य बेड़ी बांधे होती है आपके पांव
आप सिर्फ जीना चाहते हैं, जीने के लिए भूल जाते हैं मरने का दांव
और फिर हालात कुछ ऐसे बनते हैं कि छोटी नाली लगती है विकराल नदी,
राई भी नजर आते हैं पहाड़
डंके की चोट पर कहना तो दूर, आप घुटने के बल रेंगने को होते हैं मजबूर
नफरत क्या है
अदृश्य चारदीवारी?
जो आपको देती है अपनी बनाई मान्यताओं के साथ जीने की इजाजत।
जो आपके हक में उठाती है लाठी और श्रेष्ठतम बताती है आपकी कदकाठी।
जो हांकती है आपको आस्था की लाठी से और बुनती है आत्ममुग्धता का मकड़जाल
जिससे बाहर आते ही आपको अपना अस्तित्व खाक होता नजर आता है
जब तक घिरे होते हैं आप इस चारदीवारी से
नई रोशनी आपको गैरवाजिब हस्तक्षेप लगती है
और आप पूरी ताकत झोंक देते हैं
कि कोई बाहर की रोशनी आकर आपके अंधेरे को रोशन न कर सके।
क्योंकि आपको अंधेरा पसंद है,
दरअसल यही अंधेरा नफरत की निगाह में उसका उजाला है।
नफरत क्या है
अंधा प्यार?
जो आपसे सही या गलत की पहचान दुराग्रही आंखों से करवाता है।
जो सम्मान की रक्षा के नाम पर सम्मान का गला घोंट देने से भी नहीं करता गुरेज।
और आपको पता भी नहीं चलता कि कब आप इंसानियत के कस्बे से निकल हैवानियत के जंगल में अपना ठौर बना चुके हैं
जब तक डूबे होते हैं आप इस अंधे प्यार में
आदिम उसूल और बासी विचारों का लबादा आपको लगता है सबसे प्यारा
और आप उसे जायज ठहराने के लिए दूसरों पर लादने तक की कोशिश करते हैं
ऐसे में जब कोई आपके पैबंदों को दिखाने की ईमानदार कोशिश करता है
वह दुनिया, देश और समाज का सबसे बेईमान और खतरनाक आदमी लगता है
इस तरह अगर देखें तो एक सच यह भी दिखता है
कि ऐसे किसी भी एक तत्व से जीने का भ्रम बनाया जा सकता हो भले
जीवन रचा नहीं जा सकता
यही वजह है कि जो लोग करते हैं नफरत से नफरत और प्यार से प्यार
या फिर जो प्यार से करते हैं नफरत और नफरत से करते हैं प्यार
वे रच नहीं पाते कोई प्यारा सा, सुंदर-सलोना संसार
इसीलिए मैं पालना चाहता हूं अपने भीतर मुट्ठी भर प्यार
और अपने हाशिये पर रखना चाहता हूं थोड़ी सी नफरत
ताकि जिंदा रहे मेरे भीतर का इनसान
जो बसा सके प्यार से भरी-पूरी एक दुनिया।

हम ओढ़ते हैं बोझ
जरूरी नहीं कि सारे सच कहे ही जाएं
या कि देखे जाएं
सच कहना नहीं चाहते तो न कहें
नहीं देखना चाहते, तो न देखें
पर ऐसा कुछ भी करने से
सच का चेहरा जरा भी नहीं बदलता
जो बदलाव होता है वह आप में होता है
कि आप जानते हैं कि सच आपने नहीं देखा
कि आप जानते हैं कि सच आपने नहीं सुना
कि आप जानते हैं कि सुन कर भी आपने अनसुना कर दिया
कि आप जानते हैं कि देख कर भी अनदेखा कर दिया
ऐसे में पुरजोर कोशिश करके आप खुद से मुंह चुराते फिरते हैं
क्योंकि आपको हर वक्त याद रहता है
कि आपने सच सुनने, बोलने, देखने, दिखाने में
झूठ के कौशल का सहारा लिया
सच है कि सच बोलने के लिए जितना हौसला चाहिए
सुनने के लिए भी उतना ही है जरूरी
और किसी सच को सहने के लिए तो उससे भी ज्यादा हौसले की जरूरत पड़ती है
तो फिर क्यों हम अक्सर
झूठ के अपने कौशल का सहारा ले
झूठी शान का तानाबाना रचते हैं अपने चारों तरफ
जबकि हमारे भीतर
झूठ बोले जाने के अहसास का सच
हमेशा सिर उठाए रहता है
ऐसे में हम अपनी ही निगाह में गड़े होते हैं
इस गड़े होने को जीवन भर सहते हैं
जबकि हम सब जानते हैं
कि सच सहने के लिए
सच बोलने से ज्यादा हौसले की दरकार पड़ती है।

बाजार की बाजीगरी -1
जब भी सोचता हूं मैं,
बड़े हो रहे अपने बेटे के बारे में
उसका असंतोष
मुझे उससे बड़ा दिखता है।
वह बताता है
कि क्लास सिक्स्थ के दोस्तों के पास
अपना मोबाइल है और वह भी महंगा वाला
उसका कैमरा ऐसी तस्वीरें खींचता है
कि दंग रह जाएं आंखें।
लेटेस्ट लैपटॉप है, नेटबुक है, टैब्लेट है,
सबमें लेटेस्ट गेम्स भरे पड़े हैं।
थ्रीडी एनिमेशन बनाने में उन्हें खूब मजा आता है…
पर वह नहीं समझता
कि उसके दोस्तों की ऐसी कहानियों में,
उनकी दबती इच्छाओं की भरपाई करने वाली चालाकी है।
और अपने भोलेपन में
मेरा बेटा हताशा से भरता जाता है।
उसे समझाने की मेरी हर कोशिश,
उसके बालमन के तर्कों पर
खरी नहीं उतरती।
मैं समझ रहा हूं कि बाजार की बाजीगरी
बच्चों को बेतरह नचा रही है,
लुभा तो हमें भी रही हैं
पर अपनी सीमाओं को समझते हुए,
कभी हम बुत बन जाते हैं,
और कभी
हांफते हुए ही सही, पर उनके पीछे दौड़ लगाते हैं।

बाजार की बाजीगरी -2
ग्यारह वसंत देख चुका बेटा
दुखी है
कि वह अपने दोस्त को
खरीदकर नहीं दे पाया
कोई मनचाहा उपहार।
दस की हो चुकी मेरी बेटी
लिखने लगी है हिसाब
कि उसके गुल्लक से
कितने पैसे निकाल लिए गए
घर-खर्च के नाम पर।
और मेरी हमसफर
मुझसे कभी कुछ कहतीं नहीं,
पर उनकी आंखों में
दिखती है मुझे गहरी शिकायत
कि हरबार वादा करने के बाद भी
क्यों नहीं रखता मैं
उनके शौक पूरा करने का ख्याल।
शिकायतों की गठरी के सामने
अपना कद बौना पाता हूं।
सच तो यह है,
कि जितना कमाता हूं,
उतना ही गवा
