इंदौर में पाकिस्तान की शायरा अम्बरीन हसीब ‘अम्बर’ को सुनने-जानने का मौका मिला. तरक्कीपसंद उर्दू शायरी पर पीएच.डी. करने वाली अम्बरीन परवीन शाकिर के शहर कराची की रहने वाली हैं. उनकी शायरी में भी परवीन शाकिर की तरह गजब की सेंसुअलिटी है. कहने का लहजा एकदम नया है. वरना आजकल तो ऐसे-ऐसे शायरों को शोहरत मिल जाती है जो जिंदगी भर शायरी को एक रदीफ़ तक नहीं दे पाते. बहरहाल, हमारे ख़ास इसरार पर उन्होंने जल्दी-जल्दी में कुछ ग़ज़लें, कुछ शेर हिंदी में करवाकर जानकी पुल के पाठकों के लिए दिए. नई नस्ल के शायरों में वह पाकिस्तान की सबसे मकबूल शायरा मानी जाती हैं. जहाँ तक मेरी मालूमात है हिंदी में कहीं भी पहली बार उनकी ग़ज़लें प्रकाशित हो रही हैं- प्रभात रंजन

अहले कलम भी नाम कमाने में लग गए
देखा नहीं कि घर की टपकने लगी है छत
बरसा जो अब्र झूमने गाने में लग गए
ये ज़र्फ़ ही नहीं था कि सुनते किसी की बात
सब लोग मिलके शोर मचाने में लग गए
बेऐतबारियों की चली हैं वो आंधियां
हम लोग अपना आप छुपाने में लग गए
इस दौर-ए-इब्तिला में भला हमने क्या किया
इक आह भर के ग़म को भुलाने में लग गए
सजदा किया किसी ने कहाँ फिर लब-ए-फुरात

तमन्ना थी नई बातों की तुमको
