हो सकता है कल
बहुत सारे सवालों को टाल जाऊं मैं
दरअसल सवाल बेचैन कर देते हैं मुझे
क्योंकि मैं
सवालों से ही तो घिरा रहता हूँ हर वक़्त
क्या कुछ सवालों को
सवाल नही रहने दिया जा सकता
तुम्हारे तमाम सवालों का
एक ही जवाब है अमृता ।।
मैं नही चाहता
कि जब तुम बैठो इमरोज़ के स्कूटर की
पिछली सीट पर
तो तुम इमरोज़ की पीठ पर लिखती रहो
साहिर का नाम ।।

तुमसे पहले
तुम्हारी महक
आ जाती है मेरे पास
उसे कोई फर्क नही पड़ता
किसी के होने
या
न होने का
न उम्र का
न उन जंज़ीरों का
जो बांधे है तुम्हारे
हांथो को
तुमसे ज्यादा मुझे चाहती है
तुम्हारी महक
जब भी मिलती है
हर बार पहले से ज्यादा
हावी होती जाती है मुझपर
इसीलिए मैंने कहा था
मुझे महक से रिश्ता तय करना है
जाओ रोक सको तो रोक लो इसे
अब ये सिर्फ और सिर्फ मेरी है ।।

मैं गुब्बारा हो गया था उस पल
और तुम नन्ही बच्ची
डोर की तरह
थामे थी तुम मेरा हाँथ
कि उड़ न जाए कही
खो देने के डर को
महसूस कर सकता था मैं
तुम्हारे हाँथों, आँखों
और होंठो पर
(लब जान बूझकर नही लिखा मैंने)
जब ज़ोर से
दबाती थी तुम हाँथ
मैं भर जाता था
मुहब्बत की चाशनी से
हो जाता था सराबोर
बहुत गहरे अंदर तक
आज दिल ने नही,
सीट बेल्ट ने रोक लिया
वरना बिना परवाह भर लेता
बाहों में तुम्हें
(आगोश जान बूझ के नही लिखा मैंने )
सुनो
या तो तुम महकना छोड़ दो
या छोड़ दो मुझे थोड़ा सा
पहले भी कहा है मैंने
मुझे इस महक से
रिश्ता तय करना है
जब काँप रहे थे
तुम्हारे होंठ
और नम हुई जाती थी आँखें
मैं चाह रहा था
थाम लूँ होंठो को
होंठो का सहारा देकर
इकठ्ठा कर लूँ सारे आंसू
अपनी आँखों में
ताकि जब लिखना हो
विरह का गीत
इन्हें स्याही बना सकूँ मैं
छोटी है मेरी आँखें
मगर तुम्हारे सारे आंसू
ठहर सकतें है यहाँ जब तक चाहे
किराये के बदले
थोड़ी सी महक मेरे खाते में
जमा करा देना
और हाँ आज से मेरी उँगलियाँ
सबसे कीमती है मेरे लिए
लबों की कीमत बढ़ते बढ़ते रह गयी आज
(होंठ जानबूझ के नही लिखा यहाँ )

जैसे सामने पुल के उस पार
ढल रहा हो सूरज
और पुल पर खड़ा हो कोई
परछाईं की तरह
बेहद आकर्षक
लेकिन एक दम शांत
उस वक़्त कितना मुश्किल होता है
उस परछाई से नज़रे हटाना
वो नन्हा सा एक स्याह चोर
चुरा लेता है सारा करार एक पल में
आज तुम्हारी पीठ पर सूरज उगा था
दूध सी सफ़ेद रौशनी लिए
और पहली बार इतनी शिद्दत से
उभर के आयी थी एक परछाई
तुम
ख़ैर
जाने ही दो।।
5.
मेरे पास रंग हैं
हाँथों में ब्रश भी
वैसे ही शब्द है मेरे ह्रदय में
लेकिन कुछ रच नही सकता नया
तुम्हारे बगैर
वो सामान जो अनजाने छूट गया है
तुम्हारे पास
उसके बिना कुछ नही होगा नया सा
हर रंग को कागज़ चाहिए
हर ब्रश को रंग
कर कविता को शब्द
और मुझे तुम
कि रच सकूं कुछ नया
तो मेरी मानो छोड़ दो दूर जाने की
असफल कोशिश
और कागज़ पर रंग की तरह फैल जाओ ।।
6.
मुझे मालूम है कि तंगहाली चल रही है
कहीं कुछ गिर गयें है ज़िन्दगी की जेब से लम्हे
जिन्हें तुमने संभाला था
कि होंगे खर्च जब तन्हाई का मेला सजेगा ।।
मुझे मालूम है कि एक पूरा दिन
जो खर्ची में मिला करता है तुमको रोज़
उसमे क्या ही होगा ,
अजी रिश्ते निभाने की जो कीमत बढ़ गयी है ।।
किसी तरह से बस एक-आध लम्हा
बच भी जाये तो रफूगर छीन लेता है
बनवायी के एवज में कि जिसने पैरहन में दर्द के ,पैबन्द टाँके थे ।।
हुआ यूँ भी तुम्हारे साथ कितनी बार सोंचो तो
बड़ी अहिस्तगी से मार ली पॉकेट किसी बेहद करीबी ने
कभी भी रहजनी करली अज़ीज़ों ने अकेला देखकर तुमको,
कि इन सारे गुनाहों में बराबर का शरीक़ मैं भी रहा हूँ ।।
तुम्हारे सर पे कितना सूद है मुझको पता है
पूरी ज़िन्दगी लग जाएगी इसको चुकाते
तुम्हारा बोझ कुछ कम कर सकूं शायद इसी खातिर
वो आधा दिन जो माँगा था उसे लौटा रहा हूँ ।।
जो पूरा दिन मिले तो उसको अपने पास रख लेना
तमन्नाओ का क्या है ये बदल सकती हैं गर चाहो
अगर फिर भी तमन्नाएं न रोके से रुकें तो फिर
चली आना बचा के एक पूरा दिन
यानी एक पूरा दिन कि जिसमे शब भी शामिल हो
कि बनके शाह एक दिन के जियेंगे खुलके हम दोनों
रहूँगा मुन्तज़िर उस रोज़ का मैं ।।
कि बस तुम आज से गुल्लक बना लो
कि इससे पहले कोई छीन ले रहजनी करले
छुपा के डाल लो गुल्लक में हर रोज़ कुछ लम्हे
ज़रूरत के वक़्त ये काम आएंगे हमारे ।।
अगर मुमकिन हो तो मियाद तय करके बता देना
मेरे अंदर जो बच्चा है
बड़ा बेसबरा है क्या ही करूँ इसका
मुझे मालूम है कि तंगहाली चल रही है ।।

मैंने सुनता हूँ
तुम्हारे उत्साह को उत्साह से
दुःख को सहानुभूति से
व्यग्रता को धैर्य से
उत्सुकता को तन्मयता से
और
मैं निहितार्थ तक पहुँच ही जाता हूँ अंत में ।।
और अपने लिए बस इतना चाहता हूँ मैं
कि तुम मेरे शब्दों का सही सही अर्थ समझ लो बस।।
जब मैं लिखता हूँ प्रेम तो वो सिर्फ प्रेम होता है
जब लिखता हूँ मिलन तो वो मिलन होता है
और जब कुछ नही लिखता तब शांत होता हूँ मैं ।।

अजब धड़का लगा रहता है अब तो
न जाने कब ही तुम क्या माँग बैठो
कभी तुम माँग लो वापिस वो यादें
कि जिसमें में जिक्र आया हो तुम्हारा
कभी तुम माँग लो वो पल
कि जिसमे रूह मेरी,
तुम्हारी हो गयी थी
या सारी मुस्कराहट ,पाई-पाई जिसको जोड़ा था
ज़माने भर के खर्चों से बचाकर
कि ये सब काम आएंगी ग़ुरबत के दिनों में
न जाने कब ही क्या तुम मांग बैठो
कई चीज़ें तुम्हारी,मैंने रक्खीं थी,हिफाज़त से
बिना पूछे
कि जैसा माँ रखा करती थी चीज़ें को छुपाकर
जिसे हम लाख कोशिश के कभी भी पा नही पाये ।।
मुझे इन सारी यादों के ज़ेरॉक्स रखने थे कि जिन पर दस्तख़त तुम कर चुके हो,
चलो छोड़ो बड़ी मुश्किल से कुछ जायदाद जोड़ी थी
ये सोंचे बिन कि
रखने की स्टाम्प ड्यूटी दे नही सकते ।।
