बिल्कुल किसी स्त्री के रूप और सौंदर्य की तरह
जो कभी खुलकर सामने आ जाता है
और कभी सौ परदों के पीछे छुप जाता है.
जिसे केवल छुआ भर जा सकता है
प्यार से…पवित्रता से…
उसे व्याख्यायित करने की कोशिश के साथ ही
वह भाप की बूँद-सा ग़ायब हो जाता है.
कभी-कभी मृत्यु से अधिक दर्दभरे मौन की तरह महसूस हुआ है मुझे तुम्हारा प्यार
मैं उसकी मौन वेदना की अनुगूंज सुनती रही हूँ लम्बी अवधि तक
वैसे ही
जैसे चेतन में मृत और अवचेतन में जीवित कोई व्यक्ति
महसूस कर पा रहा हो फूलों की सुगंध को
कोयल की कूक को
बुलबुल के गीत को
झरने की आह को
जैसे बेड़ियों में जकड़े किसी क़ैदी के मन ने पीछा किया हो
सुबह की शीतल, मंद बयार का
जैसे रेगिस्तान के बीचोंबीच भूखे होने पर भी
रोटी लेने से इनकार कर दे कोई पागल, कोई दीवाना.
तुम्हारा यह मौन प्रेम
कभी मृत्यु का एहसास कराता है और कभी एक विशिष्ट संगीत बनकर
मुझे ख़्वाबों से परे किसी दुनिया में ले जाता है.
अपनी ही धडकनें सुनवाता है.
अपने विचारों और भावों के सांचे को आँखों के सामने साकार करके दिखाता है.
यह मौन अनकही बातों से हमारी रूहों को रोशन करता है
यह मौन हमें खुद से अलग करके आत्मा के आकाश में विचरण करवाता है.
यह एहसास कराता है कि जिस्म एक कारागार से ज़्यादा कुछ नहीं
और यह दुनिया तो देशनिकाला मात्र है.
तुम्हारे मौन में मैं सोई हुई प्रकृति की धड़कनों की आवाजें सुनती हूँ
और नीला आकाश हमारे मौन पर स्वीकृति की मुहर लगाता है.
बहुत दिनों तक यह लगता रहा कि
तुममें जादू, सौंदर्य और सम्मोहन है
और तुम भी लम्बे समय तक ऐसा ही महसूस करते रहे
बहुत देर से पता चला कि दरअसल यह जादू, सौंदर्य और सम्मोहन
हम दोनों के ही भीतर था अपना-अपना
तभी एक-दूसरे का प्यार और उसमें लिपटी यह दुनिया
हमें तिलिस्मी और सम्मोहक नज़र आती थी.
जानते हो….
तुम्हारे चुम्बनों की मिठास और मेरे आंसुओं का खारापन
रोज़ एक नए और जीवनरक्षक प्रेम की उत्पत्ति करता है.

तुम्हारी रूह ने सुना
फूलों की फुसफुसाहट और मौन के संगीत के साथ
मेरी आत्मा की पुकार और मेरे दिल की तेज़ धडकनों को भी.
मैंने भी सुनी
रात के सीने से आती आवाज़
और दिन के हृदय में गूंजती पुकार भी
हवा में धड़कता और परिंदों-सा उड़ता
वह आनंददायक संगीत भी सुना मैंने जिसने
सारी सृष्टि को चंद लम्हों के लिए रोमांचित कर रखा था.
अब मैं जान गई थी कि
आकाश से ऊंची
सागर से गहरी
जीवन-मृत्यु और समय से भी अनजानी कोई चीज़ है.
तुम मेरे लिए एक ख़ूबसूरत सपना भी हो और तल्ख़ हक़ीक़त भी
मेरे लिए सबसे ऊंचा ख़याल भी तुम्ही हो
और मेरी आत्मा को अभिभूत करनेवाली भावना भी
तुम्हारा प्यार एक ऐसा फूल है जो बेमौसम भी खिलता और बढ़ता रहता है.
रात की ठंढी हवा में मिली हुई बिजली की लहरों-सा है तुम्हारा प्यार
जो रह-रहकर मेरा पूरा जिस्म, पूरा वजूद सिहरा देता है.
तुम्हारी याद मेरे दिल को पिघला देती है और मेरी रूह में मिठास और पवित्रता भर देती है.
मैं अभी भी नहीं भूली हूँ
जादू से भरा वह एक मूक क्षण, वह एक शांत लम्हा
जब मेरी साँसों में अनायास ही ठहर गए थे तुम
मेरी आँखें आसमान पर जाकर ठहर गईं थीं और
जीवन की मधुरता और कडवाहट से मिश्रित अलौकिक मदिरा भरा प्याला बन गई थी मैं.
आह…!
कितनी रहस्यमयी रात थी वह…कितनी महान …!
जब तुम मेरे लिए रोशनी और गीत बन गए थे….और अब…
अब पंख बन गए हो.
मैंने तुमसे माँगा ऐसा प्यार
जैसे कोई कवि अपनी दुखभरी भावनाओं को याद करता है
जैसे एक यात्री
शांत तालाब को याद करता है
जिसमें पानी पीते हुए उसने अपना प्रतिबिम्ब देखा था.
जैसे एक माँ अपने उस बच्चे को छाती से चिपकाए रोती है और याद करती है
जो रोशनी देखने से पहले ही मर गया.
जैसे एक दयालु राजा उस क़ैदी को याद करता है
जो क्षमा की ख़बर पहुँचने से पहले ही मर गया हो.
तुमने भी बिलकुल वैसे ही किया मुझे प्यार
तुमने अपनी रूह को बनाया मेरी आत्मा का आवरण
अपने दिल को मेरे सौंदर्य का निवास
और अपनी छाती को मेरे दुःखों की क़ब्र
तुमने मुझे प्यार किया ऐसे
जैसे वसंत को प्रेम से चूमती रहती है वृक्षहीन भूमि.
तुम मेरे भीतर पलने लगे सूर्य की किरणों से पल रहा फूल बनकर
तुमने मेरे नाम के गीत गाएं ऐसे
जैसे गाँव के गिरजाघर की घंटियों की प्रतिध्वनि को वादियाँ दोहराती हैं.
तुमने सुनी मेरी अंतरात्मा की आवाज़ ऐसे
जैसे समंदर का साहिल सुनता है लहरों की कहानी.
तुमने मुझे प्रेम किया ऐसे
जैसे कोई परदेसी करता है अपने देस को
जैसे कोई भूखा रोटी को
जैसे सिंहासन खोकर राजा अपने वैभवशाली दिनों को
और क़ैदी आज़ादी और आराम के दिनों को.
तुमने मृत्यु की घाटी में मुझे पूजा
मेरे प्रेम की मूर्ति बनाकर
मेरे प्रेम को मदिरा बनाकर पिया तुमने
वस्त्र बनाकर पहना
मेरा प्रेम हौले-से तुम्हारे गाल पर थपकी देकर
सुबह तुम्हें नींद से जगाकर
दूर खेतों में ले जाता रहा लम्बी अवधि तक.
दोपहर को पेड़ों की छाया बनकर तुम्हें आराम देता रहा
और पंछियों के साथ सूर्य की गर्मी से बचाता भी रहा.
वही प्रेम शाम को सूर्यास्त से प्रकाश को विदा दिलवाता रहा
और आसमान में काले भुतहे बादल दिखाता रहा.
हर रात लेता रहा प्यार तुम्हें आलिंगन में
और मैं सपने देखती रही स्वर्ग के
जहाँ प्रेमी और कवि रहते हैं.
मेरे प्रेम ने वसंत में चलाया तुम्हें नील-पुष्पों के साथ
शीत में पिलाई शबनमी प्रेम की बूँदें लिली के प्यालों से
गर्मियों में तुम्हारा प्यार बन गया सूखी घास का तकिया और हरी घास का बिस्तर मेरे लिए
हम देखते रहे चाँद-तारों को एकटक
और आसमान के नीलेपन ने हमें बांधे रखा अपने बाहुपाश में.
तुम्हारे प्रेम में
मैंने किया पतझड़ से भी प्रेम
और अंगूरों के बाग़ में जाकर बेलों से सुनहरी अंगूरों के गहने उतरते देखे
प्रवासी पंछियों के झुण्ड मेरे सर पर मंडराते रहे और
सर्दियों में मैं लोगों को सुनाती रही अलाव के पास बैठकर
उस दूर देस की कहानियाँ
जहाँ जा बसे थे तुम कभी
मुझे छोड़कर.

जवानी में प्रेम मेरा गुरु बना
प्रौढ़ा हुई तो मददगार
और जीवन के अंतिम पड़ाव पर बनेगा मेरी ख़ुशी.
ज़मीन से निकलती लपटों की तरह
प्रेम निकलता है मेरे दिल की गहराइयों से
जिसमें मेरे आंसू घृत का काम करते हैं और कभी-कभी
होंठ भी बन जाते हैं.
प्यार ने मुझे पंख दिए हैं
ऐसे पंख…जिनके सहारे मैं उड़कर जा सकती हूँ बादलों की छाया के उसपार की दुनिया में और
देख सकती हूँ, महसूस कर सकती हूँ वह जादू
जिसमें मेरी और तुम्हारी आत्मा आनंद के साथ विचरण करती रही हैं अबतक
तमाम दुखों के बावजूद.
मेरे अलावा शायद ही सुना हो किसी ने प्रेम का यह आह्वान
शायद ही फंसा हो कोई इस सुखद और सम्मोहक तिलिस्म में
शायद ही समझ पाया हो कोई उस अव्यक्त व्यंजना को…उस अनकही दास्तान को
जिसे शब्दों का बाना नहीं मिला और जो काग़ज़ पर उतारे नहीं जा सके.
प्यार के रहस्यमयी सपनों की छतरी बार-बार उड़ाकर
मैं इस बारिश में भीगती रहना पसंद करती हूँ.
पेड़ की शाखाओं-सा बिखरा है प्रेम मेरे पोर-पोर में
जैसे पेड़ एक मज़बूत शाखा को गंवाकर दुखी तो होता है पर मरता नहीं
अपनी सारी ऊर्जा दूसरी शाखा में भर देता है ताकि वह बढ़ जाए ख़ाली जगह भर दे
वैसे ही,
एक प्रेम भरे सम्बन्ध की समाप्ति मुझे दुखी तो करती है पर मेरे दिल को ख़ाली नहीं कर पाती प्रेम से
मैं अपना प्रेम कहीं और उंडेल देती हूँ…
ज़र्रे-ज़र्रे में भर देती हूँ
ताकि उसकी शाखाएं फ़ैल जाएँ पूरी दुनिया में.
7.
मेरी आत्मा
प्रेम के भोर के चुम्बन के साथ जागृत और झंकृत होती है.
मेरी झुकी हुई हाथीदांत-सी गर्दन पर प्रेम लगाता है अपने चुम्बन की मुहर और मेरे गाल
पहाड़ों के पीछे से झांकती सुबह की रश्मियों-से लाल हो उठते हैं.
सुबह से शाम तक न जाने कितनी बार उतरती हैं सूर्य रश्मियाँ मेरे जिस्म में
और शाम ढले मैं चुपचाप तकती रह जाती हूँ
ढलते सूरज की किरणों से झांकते हुए रंगीन बादलों को.
हमारी इन गुप्त मुलाक़ातों की ख़बर होती है सिर्फ़ उस मीनार के ऊपर उड़ते कबूतरों के झुंडों को
और मेहराबें हमारे मिलन की मूक गवाह बनी रहती हैं
जिनके साए में चूमते हो तुम मेरी पेशानी और आज़ाद कर देते हो मुझे सूरज की किरणों-सा
हवाओं-सा
तुम्हारे प्रेम में
ऊंचे पहाड़ों के अंतिम सिरे…अंतिम नुकीली चोटी को छू आता है कई-कई बार मेरा मन.
दौड़कर भाग आता है फिर-फिर तुम्हारे पास
भरता है तुम्हें अपनी आगोश में ऐसे
जैसे एक माँ अपने इकलौते बच्चे को.
प्यार सिखाता है मुझे
तुम्हें महफूज़ रखना हर बला से
सौ तालों में बंद रखना और यहाँ तक कि ख़ुद से भी तुम्हें बचाना.
अगले ही पल सिखाता है तुम्हें और ख़ुद को इतना आज़ाद कर देना
कि हम न भागें एक-दूसरे का पीछा करते-करते दूर देश में.
न जाने किस अनजानी प्रेम-अगन में तपकर पवित्र हुआ हमारा प्यार
आकांक्षाविहीन हो चुका है
ताकि हम आज़ाद रह सकें.
सीमाओं में बंधा प्यार ही प्रिय पर अधिकार चाहता है
असीमित प्यार खुद को ही चाहता है.
हमारा प्यार हर रोज़ पैदा होता है आसमान की गोद में
उतरता है रात के रहस्यों के साथ ज़मीन पर और
विलीन हो जाता है अनंत और शाश्वत में.
प्रेम हमेशा मुझे नए संकल्पों के साथ सामने लाता है.
कभी उस संकल्प के साथ
जो बेड़ियों पर हंस सकता है और रास्ता छोटा कर सकता है
कभी एक डरी हुई प्रेतनी
और कभी एक बहादुर स्त्री के संकल्प के साथ भी.

एक पवित्र आग को अपने हृदय में महसूस किया मैंने
जब मैं अल्हड़पन की नींद से जागी
मेरी आत्मा को तड़पा रही थी
मुझे बार-बार कोंच रही थी एक आध्यात्मिक भूख
यातना भी दे रही थी
पर यह पीड़ा, यह वेदना आनंददायक थी.
उसे गर्भ में रखकर बरसों पाला मैंने
और सो गयी उस गर्भस्थ के साथ गहरी नींद
बरसों बाद जब आँखें खुलीं तो पाया कि
जन्म ले चुका था गर्भस्थ
मेरी आँखें चमक उठीं सद्यः प्रसूता की मानिंद उसे देखकर
उसके पंख उग आये थे और वह दाएं-बाएं हिल रहा था
हरक़त कर रहा था.
उसे उड़ना सिखाते वक़्त
ख़ूब उड़ी उसके साथ मैं विस्तृत आकाश में
ख़ूब लम्बी पींगें ली हमने
जिसके गवाह ज़मीन-आसमान रहे
दसों दिशाएँ रहीं
आठों प्रहर रहे
अपने इस इकलौते बच्चे को अपनी आत्मा के सात तालों के भीतर बंद रखती मैं
हर रोज़ उसकी आँखें आँजती रही काजल से और माथे पर उसके एक कोने में लगाती रही काला टीका एक लम्बे अरसे तक
ताकि बचा सकूं उसे हर बुरी नज़र से.
वह अपनी कजरारी गोल-गोल आँखें घुमाकर मुझे टुकुर-टुकुर देखता
जैसे आँखों से मेरे हृदय में उतारकर देखना चाहता हो कि उसके अनकहे शब्दों का मुझ पर क्या प्रभाव पड़ा…
मैं समझ भी पाती हूँ या नहीं उसकी बात…उसकी भाषा…
वह शायद अपनी आवाज़ की अनुगूंज…उसकी प्रतिध्वनि सुनना चाहता था.
वह शायद अपने हृदय में उठे भावों की अभिव्यक्ति मेरी आँखों में…मेरे चेहरे पर देखना चाहता था.
अब बहुत परिपक्व हो गया है
पर उसकी आँखें अब भी वैसी ही हैं…
कजरारी…मुझे टुकुर-टुकुर ताकती हुई प्रतीक्षारत
उसका रूप सौन्दर्य मेरे लिए अर्थ है
दुनिया की सबसे ख़ूबसूरत शाश्वत उक्तियों का.
सृष्टि के प्रारंभ के पूर्व ही ईश्वर ने जोड़ दिया था उसे मेरी गर्भनाल से
मैंने नाम दिया उसे …. ‘प्रेम’…
9.
जब पिछले साल सलेटी आसमान ने आख़िरी साँसें ली थीं
भारी बर्फ़ गिरनी शुरू हो गई थी.
विशाल पहाड़ों पर से सीटी बजाती हुई हवाएं गहरी खाई की ओर जा रही थीं और
बर्फ़ के बुरादों को उड़ाकर वादियों में जमा कर रही थीं.
वादियों और खेतों में बिन पत्तों के पेड़ों के सिवा कुछ भी शेष नहीं रहा था.
वे पेड़ जीवनहीन मैदानों में मृत्यु की काली छाया बनकर खड़े थे.
चीखती हुई हवाओं और गरजते तूफ़ानों की प्रतिध्वनि
गहरी वादियों से सुनी जा सकती थी.
ऐसा लगने लगा था कि प्रकृति पिछले साल के बीत जाने पर क्रुद्ध है
और कुछ शांत आत्माओं से बदला ले रही है सर्दी और कोहरे के हथियार चलाकर.
धरती का काला परिधान सफ़ेद हो गया था बर्फ़ से
जैसे कि मौत से पहले ही वह मौत से घिर गया हो.
निराशा और घोर दुःख के इस मौसम में
हलकी-सी कोई उम्मीद मेरे भीतर बाक़ी थी.
हालांकि मेरे पंख टूट चुके थे और मैं किसी बर्फ़ीली नदी की धारा में गिर चुकी थी.
भंवर मुझे गहराइयों में खींचे लिए जा रहा था.
मैं धारा के ख़िलाफ़ तैर रही थी.
हवा के विरुद्ध लड़ रही थी.
सिर्फ़ इसलिए कि
मुझे यक़ीन था कि
मौत के इस सफ़ेद मौसम में भी
बीजों-सी दो काली पुतलियाँ अब भी तक रही हैं मेरी राह
जिनमें मौन संवाद करने की एक अनोखी ताकत है
जो आत्मा की लालसाओं को ज़िन्दा रखती है.

मैं इन्द्रधनुषी रेशों से हरपल बुनती रहती हूँ तुम्हें
तुम्हारे हृदय की गहराइयों में टांक आई हूँ अपनी आँखें
जो देख सकती हैं तुम्हारे मन के अदृश्य कोनों को भी
ताक-झाँक कर सकती हैं दृश्य और अदृश्य के बीच एक धागे भर के फ़ासले के दरम्यान
कई बार अपने संदेह की छाया में भी लपेट कर रखती रही हूँ तुम्हें
जो ज़िन्दगी और रोशनी की सुबह जैसी है.
तुमने भी बख्शा मुझे मधुर प्यार
लेकिन तुमने अपने वजूद में न जाने कहाँ से शामिल कर ली थी
क्रोध की भट्ठी में से दग्ध करनेवाली आग
अज्ञान के मरुस्थल से गर्म हवा
स्वार्थ के किनारों से तेज़ काटनेवाली रेत
युगों के पाँव तले से खुरदुरी मिट्टी
और रचा अपना ही प्रतिद्वंदी एक दम्भी पुरुष
जिसका प्रेम और माधुर्य जैसे शब्द से दूर-दूर तक कोई वास्ता न था.
जो एक ऐसी अंधी शक्ति से भरपूर था जो प्रचंड थी और लगातार खींचती चली गई तुम्हें
पागलपन की ओर
और संतुष्ट हुई तब जाकर अंततः
जब संतुष्ट हुई तुम्हारी कामना
और तुष्ट हुआ तुम्हारा दंभ…तुम्हारा अहम्
तुमने छिन्न-भिन्न कर दिए वे इन्द्रधनुषी रेशे
फोड़ डालीं प्रेम से परिपूर्ण मेरी आँखें
और हमारा मधुर प्यार
सांसारिक संतोष की पहली निःश्वास के साथ ही साथ छोड़ गया
दम तोड़ गया.
असाधारण कवितायेँ **
Bahut sundar . Laukik hote hue bhi Kisi alaukik sansaar mein le jaati hain ye kavitayen . Prem ko paas se ,door se , upar se neeche se , bheetar bahar se dekhti dikhati saadhaaran kavitayen
प्रेम की परतों को लिखना तभी संभव है जब प्रेम की कंदराओं में विचरण करने का फुरसतिया वक़्त मिला हो, क्योंकि प्रेम को पढ़कर लिख देना सम्भव नही. कविताओं की भाषा, उनके महीन विश्लेषण, बताते हैं कि कवि मन कितना सह्रदय करुणा और अनुभूतियों से सरोबार है…मंजरी जी को साधुवाद प्रेम की रचनात्मकता को रेखांकित करने के लिए
बेहद ख़ूबसूरत कविताएँ। ज्यों-ज्यों मंजरी की कविताएँ पढ़ता हूँ, लगता है, हिन्दी के सर्वश्रेष्ठ कवियों में वे अपनी जगह बनाती जा रही हैं।
