ग़ज़ल-1
वो मुझे आसरा तो क्या देगा,
चलता देखेगा तो गिरा देगा।
क़र्ज़ तो तेरा वो चुका देगा,
लेकिन अहसान में दबा देगा।
हौसले होंगे जब बुलंद तेरे,
तब समंदर भी रास्ता देगा।
एक दिन तेरे जिस्म की रंगत,
वक़्त ढलता हुआ मिटा देगा।
हाथ पर हाथ रख के बैठा है,
खाने को क्या तुझे ख़ुदा देगा।
लाख गाली फ़क़ीर को दे लो,
इसके बदले भी वो दुआ देगा।
ख़्वाब कुछ कर गुज़रने का तेरा,
गहरी नींदों से भी जगा देगा।
क्या पता था कि जलते घर को मेरे,
मेरा अपना सगा हवा देगा।
ग़ज़ल-2
आँखों में जितने सपने हैं
उनमें से अपने कितने हैं।
अमृत पीकर खुश मत हो तू,
विष के प्याले भी चखने हैं।
इनमें भी तुम बैर करोगे,
जीवन के दिन ही कितने हैं।
फ़ाक़े में मालूम पड़ेगा,
कौन पराये और अपने हैं।
इस मिटटी में प्यार के ‘अम्बर’
लाखों अफ़साने दफ़्ने हैं।

राह भटका हुआ इंसान नज़र आता है
तेरी आँखों में तो तूफ़ान नज़र आता है।
पास से देखो तो मालूम पड़ेगा तुमको
काम बस दूर से आसान नज़र आता है।
इसको मालूम नहीं अपने वतन की सरहद
ये परिंदा अभी नादान नज़र आता है।
बस वही भूमि पे इंसान है कहने लायक
जिसको हर शख़्स में भगवान नज़र आता है।
आई जिस रोज़ से बेटी पे जवानी, उसका,
बाप हर वक़्त परेशान नज़र आता है।
जबसे तुम छोड़ गए मुझको अकेला ‘अम्बर’
शहर सारा मुझे वीरान नज़र आता है।
ग़ज़ल-4
ख़्वाब आँखों में जितने पाले थे
टूटकर वो बिखरने वाले थे।
जिनको हमने था पाक दिल समझा
उन ही लोगों के कर्म काले थे।
पेड़ होंगे जवां तो देंगे फल,
सोचकर बस यही तो पाले थे।
सब ने भरपेट खा लिया खाना
माँ की थाली में कुछ निवाले थे।
आज सब चिट्ठियां जला दीं वो
जिनमें यादें तेरी सँभाले थे।
हाल दिल का सुना नहीं पाये
मुँह पे मज़बूरियों के ताले थे।

तेरा अफ़साना छेड़ कर कोई
आज जागेगा रात भर कोई।
ऐसे वो दिल को तोड़ देता है
दिल न हो जैसे हो समर कोई।
रात होते ही मेरे पहलू में,
टूटकर जाता है बिखर कोई।
चंद लम्हों में तोड़ सब रिश्ते,
दे गया दर्दे-उम्रभर कोई।
इश्क़ करता नहीं हूँ मैं तुमसे,
कह के पछताया उम्रभर कोई।
मैं वफ़ा करके बा-वफ़ा ठहरा,
बेवफ़ा हो गया मगर कोई।
काट कर पेट जोड़े गा पैसे,
तब खरीदेगा एक घर कोई।
तेरे आने की आस में ‘अम्बर’,
देखता होगा रहगुज़र कोई ।
