शाहरुख़ खान की फिल्म ‘हैप्पी न्यू ईयर’ सैकड़ों करोड़ कमाकर सुपर डुपर हिट हो चुकी है. ऐसे में उस फिल्म की प्रशंसा या आलोचना करना बेमानी सा लगता है. फिर भी, एक दर्शक की नजर से सैयद एस. तौहीद ने इस फिल्म के जरिये कुछ मौजू सवाल उठाए हैं- मॉडरेटर.

जिंदगी व किस्मत को कोसने का नया चलन इधर की फिल्मों में निकला है। दुनिया को सिर्फ दो किस्म के लोगों में वर्गीकृत करने वाले चार्ली उर्फ शाहरूख खान हार कर जीतने वाले को बाजीगर कहते आए हैं। बाजीगर क्या किस्मत को कोसा भी करते हैं? चार्ली वो आदमी नहीं जो किस्मत को लेकर जोखिम उठाए। पराजित होने का भय उसे यह सब विचार दे रहा था?
दुनिया समाज के विस्तार को नजरअंदाज करने वाला चार्ली को पिता के साथ हुए अन्याय का हिसाब चुकाना है। जिंदगी से एक सपना पूरा करने वाले की मांग रखने वाले लोगों से वो एक टीम बना लेता है। फराह खान की हैप्पी न्यू ईयर चार्ली के इंतकाम की कहानी है। हिन्दी फिल्मों में पुत्र द्वारा पिता का बदला लेने की कहानी पोपुलर फार्मुला रहा है। हीरों की तिजोरियां बनाने वाले ईमानदार पिता मनोहर को जैकी श्राफ के चरण ग्रोवर ने दुष्टता के साथ फंसा कर जेल भेज दिया। ईमानदार मनोहर ने अपने पर लगे दाग के कारण आत्महत्या कर ली। चार्ली को ग्रोवर से पिता का इंतक़ाम लेना है ।
डायमंडस को चरण की नाक के नीचे से लूट ले जाने की योजना में टीम को शामिल कर वो ऐसा कर सकता था। पिता के साथ काम कर चुके दो लोगों को इसका एक हिस्सा बनाया गया। अभी टीम पूरी नहीं थी तीन और लोगों को तलाश कर इसे पूरा किया गया। बेशक चार्ली कप्तान था। वर्ल्ड डांस प्रतियोगिता नाम का रियलिटी शो योजना को अंजाम देने का वंस इन ए लाईफटाइम अवसर था। मंजिल भी वहीं थी जहां रियलिटी शो होना था। टीम की मोहिनी ने सदस्यों को डांस की स्टेस्प बताकर डांस शो तक पहुंचा दिया। दर्शकों का समर्थन जुटा कर टीम प्रतियोगिता के स्टेज़ तक पहुंच गई। दुनिया के नाइन नायाब डायमंडस की हिफाजत के लिए उन्हें चरण ग्रोवर के पास लाया जा रहा था। चार्ली को पांच नायब हीरोज की टीम के साथ डायमंडस उड़ा ले जाना है।
कहानी में राष्ट्रवाद तत्व लाने के लिए इत्तेफाक रचा गया कि तिजोरी व डांस प्रतियोगिता एक जगह होनी है। नायाब हीरे उड़ा ले जाने का मकसद रखने वाले चार्ली देश का नाम भी ऊंचा रखने की भावना रखते हैं । वर्ल्ड डांस प्रतियोगिता में जीतना एक लक्ष्य था? टीम प्रतियोगिता में शामिल हुई क्योंकि ग्रोवर को सबक सिखाना था। रियलिटी शो की माया दर्शकों को सिनेमाघरों तक खींच ला रही। फराह खान की Happy New Year को टीवी रियालिटी शो की तरह देखकर मजा लिया जा सकता है। शाहरूख खान के दीवाने इसे मिस नहीं करेंगे क्योंकि फिल्म में हिन्दी सिनेमा का बादशाह है। शाहरूख ने किसी साक्षात्कार मे कहा था कि वे गरीबी से डरते हैं। संयोग से चार्ली भी अमीर बनने का सपना रखने वाले लोगों की टीम का कप्तान है। दुनिया को विजेता व पराजित में बांट कर वो उनका किसी एक तरफ होना आसान कर देता है।
किस्मत से किसी रोज बहुत हासिल करने की चाहत रखने वाले लोगों को जमा करना आसान था। किस्मत पर भरोसा नहीं करने वाले चार्ली की किस्मत बुरी नहीं थी। हार व जीत के बीच हमेशा तक़दीर खडी नहीं मिलती। शातिर को न्याय तक पहुंचाने के लिए उसी की चाल से मात देना जरूरी होता है। चार्ली ने पिता का बदला इसी अंदाज में लिया। बदले की कहानी को राष्ट्रवाद का टैग लगाकर महिमांडित करने में फराह सफल रही। चार्ली की टीम कंपीटिशन अपने नाम कर खुद के लिए समर्थन जुटाने में कामयाब हुई है। बाक्स आफिस पर फिल्म की रिकार्ड सफलता से यही समझ आता है। दरअसल बड़े नामों को लेकर चलने वाला सिनेमा फिल्म को कारोबार से अधिक नहीं मान रहा।
बडे नामों के कांधे उतरी हालिया साधारण फिल्मों की कमाई करोड़ों में थी। बेहतरीन फिल्मों को लोग इस स्तर तक नहीं सराह रहे। सिनेमा को खांचे में बांटना ठीक नहीं…लेकिन अनायास व प्रायोजित तरीके से यही चला आ रहा। अब की कमाई के हिसाब से बीते जमाने के क्लासिक फिल्में निर्धन कही जानी चाहिए। पुराने जमाने के सितारे आज को देखकर हैरत करते होंगे। बदले हुए नजरिए में फिल्में चंद घंटो का मनोरंजन है। मनोरंजन का स्तर किसी समय को क्लासिक बना देता है।
कारोबार से परहेज ठीक नहीं लेकिन क्या महा करोड़ क्लब की फिल्में क्लासिक कही जाएंगी? बहस बेमानी होगी क्योंकि दर्शक भी कमाई को लेकर बडे जागरूक से हैं। क्लासिक की नयी परिभाषा? अपराधिक परिवेश की फिल्मों का इधर चलन तेज हो रहा। सलमान खान से लेकर आमिर खान फिर रितिक भी अपराध आधारित फिल्में कर रहे। ग्रोवर तथा चार्ली दोनों मंजिल पाने को गलत रास्ते अपनाने वाले लोग हैं । दर्शकों की सहानुभूति चार्ली के हांथ इसलिए होगी क्योंकि वो पिता का बदला ले रहा। इंतक़ाम में रास्ता मायने नहीं रखता? अपराध का रास्ता मायने नहीं रखता? फराह खान की फिल्म ने साबित किया कि Everything is fare in Love and war । राष्ट्रवाद से जोड़ देने बाद मिशन अत्यधिक रोचक हो जाता है। चोरी कर वहां से निकलने की बजाए इंडिया की इज्जत बचाने के लिए टीम का वापस कंपीटिशन में आने का जोखिम उठाना यही था। डांस कंपीटिशन के हिसाब से फराह खान फिल्म में जबरदस्त डांस सिक्वेंस नहीं बना सकी हैं। कहानी अभिनय एवं संगीत के मामले भी शाहरूख की फिल्म महान नहीं बन सकी …फिर भी हैप्पी न्यू ईयर गजब की सफल हो रही। मार्केटिंग के रास्ते पाई लोकप्रियता का अंदाजा आप भी लगाएं क्योंकि दीवाली के मौसम में Happy New Year कहना आम हो रहा है। मनोरंजन से कारोबार के मामले में यह फिल्म reference point बनेगी । चमक धमक रखने वाली फिल्मों का वितान hypnotize करने में कामयाब हो रहा? महाकरोड़ क्लब की फिल्मों की कंटेट पर चर्चा करना बेमानी है!
