कैंसर नाम की ये बीमारी न जाने हमारे और कितने प्यारों को लील जाएगी. अभी कुछ दिन पहले ही हमें 70 के दशक के हिन्दी फ़िल्मों के ख्यात नायक विनोद खन्ना की आकस्मिक मृत्यु का दुखद समाचार मिला था। अब फिर कैंसर ने लगभग उसी समय के हॉलीवुड के प्रसिद्ध नायक सर रॉजर मूर को 23 मई 2017 के दिन हमसे दूर कर दिया, जिन्हें ज़्यादातर जेम्स बॉंड के रोल को को निभाने की वजह से इसी नाम से जाना जाता है. सर मूर जेम्स बॉंड की भूमिका को सबसे ज़्यादा 7 बार निभाने का अवसर मिला. मूर से पहले बॉंड सीरीज़ की फ़िल्में कुछ ख़ास कमाल नहीं दिखा पा रही थीं और लगभग सभी बड़े हीरोज़ इससे दूर ही रहने में अपना भला समझ रहे थे. सर मूर ने सन् 1973 में पहली बॉंड मूवी ‘लिव एंड लेट डाई’ से यह सफ़र शुरू किया था जो सन् 1985 ‘अ व्यू टू किल’ तक चला था. एक्शन, जासूसी और हीरोइज़्म के सनसनीख़ेज़ दृश्यों से भरी इस सीरीज़ की फ़िल्मों ने सर मूर को सबका चहेता बना दिया.
हालाँकि बॉंड सीरीज़ के अलावा भी उन्होंने टीवी सीरीज़ ‘द सेंट’ तथा अन्य फ़िल्मों में भी काम किया था पर बॉंड का दबदबा ऐसा बना कि उनकी मृत्यु की ख़बर देती हेडलाइंस में भी उनके नाम के साथ जेम्स बॉंड लगा दिया गया. एक इंटरव्यू में इस बाबत उनसे पूछा गया था कि “आपको लोग आपके असली नाम की बजाय जेम्स बॉंड नाम से पुकारते हैं तो क्या तकलीफ़ होती है?” इस पर मूर ने कहा था “क्यों तकलीफ़ होगी? मेरा काम मेरी पहचान है यह तो ख़ुशी की बात है.”
सर मूर के निधन पर मार्क हायंस नाम के एक व्यक्ति ने बहुत ही दिलचस्प क़िस्सा फ़ेसबुक पर शेअर किया जो सोशल नेटवर्किंग साइट्स पर फैल गया. मार्क के अनुसार सन् 1983 में जब वे 7 साल के थे तो उन्होंने एअरपोर्ट पर रॉजर मूर को देखा और अपने दादा से कहा कि मुझे जेम्स बॉंड का ऑटोग्राफ़ चाहिए. मार्क के दादा को फ़िल्मों या हीरो का कोई अंदाज़ा नहीं था पर फिर भी पोते की ख़ुशी के लिए वे मूर के पास गये और उनसे अपनी टिकट के पीछे ही ऑटोग्राफ़ माँगा. सर मूर ने शुभकामनाओं सहित रॉजर मूर के नाम से दस्तख़त कर दिए. मार्क वह ऑटोग्राफ़ देख रोने लगा क्योंकि उसे लगा कि जेम्स बॉंड ने अपने नाम से ऑटोग्राफ़ क्यों नहीं दिया. मार्क के दादा फिर मूर के पास गये और सही ऑटोग्राफ़ देने को कहा. मूर स्वयम् सात वर्षीय रोते मार्क के पास आए और उसे चुप कराते हुए कहा कि मैंने जेम्स बॉंड के नाम से ऑटोग्राफ़ बस इसीलिए नहीं दिया क्योंकि मैं एक सीक्रेट मिशन पर हूँ और ये किसी को पता नहीं लगना चाहिए कि बॉंड यहाँ है. अब ये सीक्रेट तुम्हारे और मेरे बीच का है बस. इस पर मार्क चुप हो गया और ख़ुशी-ख़ुशी मूर के ऑटोग्राफ़ वाला टिकट ले लिया.
सर मूर का एक्टिंग करियर जैसे कभी ख़त्म ही नहीं हुआ था. सन् 2015 तक भी वे अभिनय क्षेत्र में एक्टिव थे. बावजूद इसके उन्होंने समाज-सेवा के लिए अपना समय समर्पित किया. सन् 1991 में यूनिसेफ़ ने सर मूर को अपना एम्बेसडर नियुक्त किया. इस मौक़े पर भी सर मूर ने ख़ुद को हीरो साबित कर दिखाया. ता ज़िंदगी वे कंसर्वेटिव पार्टी के समर्थक रहे, सन् 2011 में भी सबकी आलोचना के बावजूद वे डेविड केमरून के साथ खड़े रहे.
भवों के एक इशारे से वे दर्शकों के मन में घर कर लेते हैं. एक एक्शन हीरो जो विनीत भी है और चेहरे की मांसपेशियों की हरकत से व्यंग्य करने में माहिर भी वही चितचोर सदा के लिए हमें विदा कह गया है. बांड का किरदार brosnon, lazenby, connery से लेकर craig तक कई अभिनेताओं ने निभाया लेकिन सबको पीछे छोड़ते हुए जो रुआब रॉजर मूर का दीखता है वो यह मानने को मजबूर कर देता है कि बांड का नाम जब-जब लिया जाएगा हमें सबसे पहले मूर याद आयेंगे.
