आज ग़ालिब की जयंती है। उनके नाम यह ख़त लिखा है जाने-माने युवा शायर इरशाद खान सिकंदर ने। आप भी पढ़िए-

चचा,मैंने भी आपकी नहज पर चलते हुए मुरासले को मुकालमा बना लिया है और गुस्ताख़ी ये कि मुख़ातिब भी आप ही से हूँ इस मौक़े पर मुझे ख़ुमार बाराबंकवी साहब का एक वाक़या याद आ रहा है हुआ यूँ कि एक साहब जो मेरी ही तरह ख़ुद को शायर समझते थे एक दिन सर्दियों की कडकडाती सुबह में ख़ुमार साहब की नींद हराम करने पहुँच गए, दरवाज़े पर दस्तक दी, ख़ुमार साहब ने आँखें मींचते हुए दरवाज़ा खोला, तो हज़रत ने अन्दर आने की इजाज़त माँगी ख़ुमार साहब के सामने चारा भी क्या था उन्होंने मन ही मन एक ख़ूबसूरत सा मक़ामी जुमला अदा करते हुए उन्हें घर के अन्दर आने की न सिर्फ़ इजाज़त दी,बल्कि लगे हाथों तशरीफ़आवरी का सबब भी पूछ लिया तो हज़रत ने पूरी लखनवी नफ़ासत के साथ लगभग रुकूअ जाने की पोज़ीशन में आते हुए अर्ज़ किया-
‘चचा लखनऊ में मेरा जश्न हो रहा है मैं आपको मदऊ करने आया हूँ आपके सामने दो आप्शन हैं पहला हाँ और दूसरा भी हाँ! आप आयेंगे ना?
ये सुनकर ख़ुमार साहब कुछ देर चुप रहे फिर निहायत सर्द लहजे में जवाब दिया-
‘इस ख़बर को सुनने के बाद अगर मैं ज़िन्दा रहा तो ज़रूर आऊंगा!’
लेकिन चचा आप घबराइये मत मैं ऐसी कोई गुस्ताख़ी आप की शान में करने की सोच भी नहीं सकता माना कि मैं आपका नालायक़ भतीजा हूँ लेकिन इस क़दर भी नालायक़ नहीं हूँ। मैं तो आपसे कुछ बहुत ही ज़रूरी गुफ़्तगू करने को हाज़िर हुआ हूँ आपने कभी तंज़न कहा था, ‘’ख़ुश हूँ कि मेरी बात समझनी मुहाल है’’ लेकिन अब मुआमला बदल चुका है अब तो पूरी दुनिया में दीवाने-ग़ालिब के न सिर्फ़ दीवाने हैं बल्कि कसरत से दीवाने-ग़ालिब के हाफ़िज़ भी मिल जायेंगे जहाँ तक रही बात, बात समझने की तो इस सिलसिले में मुश्ताक़ अहमद यूसुफ़ी साहब जिनसे कि मुमकिन है आपकी मुलाक़ात हाल के दिनों में हुई भी हो फ़रमा गए हैं दुनिया में ग़ालिब वाहिद शायर है जो समझ में न आये तो दुगुना मज़ा देता है!
मैं भी अब तक इस जुमले की छाँव तले दुगुना लुत्फ़ उठा रहा था लेकिन अब तो ‘’दुख है कि मेरी बात समझनी मुहाल है’’ वो यूँ कि अब तक आपका कलाम समझना न समझना पढ़ना न पढ़ना ख़ुद तक महदूद था, लेकिन अब जबकि आपका कलाम लोगों को पढ़कर सुनाने की ज़िम्मेदारी मुझ अहमक़ के कन्धों पर आ पड़ी है तो मेरे सर पर मेरी जिहालत के राज़फ़ाश होने का ख़तरा मंडलाने लगा है कुछ लोग कहेंगे कि दीवाने-ग़ालिब पढ़ने में मुश्किल कैसी? लेकिन ऐसा वही लोग कहेंगे जो या तो सुख़नफ़हम नहीं हैं या ग़ालिब शनास नहीं। ख़ैर मैं थोड़ा बहुत सुख़नफ़हम तो हूँ लेकिन ख़ुद को ग़ालिब शनास कहूं तौबा तौबा हरगिज़ नहीं! फिर ये मुआमला हल क्योंकर हो?
एक मर्तबा तलफ़्फ़ुज़ की छिटपुट ग़लतियों को नज़रअंदाज़ कर भी दूं तो आपके कलाम में जो मकालमे का सा अंदाज़ है उसमें हलकी सी भी चूक पढ़ने वाले की पोलपट्टी खोल सकती है? उसकी जिहालत उसके पढ़ने के अंदाज़ ही से सामने आ जायेगी! इन सब मसअलों को जानते-समझते हुए भी मैं अपनी सी करके माना हूँ मेरी पीढ़ी के लोगों का तकिया कलाम है जो होगा देखा जाएगा! मैं तो ख़ैर क्या ही देखूँगा हाँ आपसे गुज़ारिश है कुछ गड़बड़ हो तो आप संभाल लीजियेगा!
अब आता हूँ दूसरे मसअले पर! मैंने आपसे मुतअल्लिक़ कई किताबें देखीं लेकिन मरज बढ़ता गया जूँ जूँ दवा की..यानी जितनी किताबें देखीं उतना ही गुत्थी उलझती चली गयी! मैं जानना ये चाहता था कि आपका वो अस्ल दीवान जो आपने ख़ुद काट-छाँट के बाद मुरत्तब किया था कौन सा है? और अब कहाँ है? इस सिलसिले में कालिदास गुप्ता रज़ा साहब की तहक़ीक़ बहुत मददगार साबित हुई मैं उनका तहे-दिल से शुक्रगुज़ार हूँ! रज़ा साहब का।
पढ़ते-पढ़ते एक दिन अली सरदार जाफ़री साहब के मुरत्तब किये हुए दीवाने-ग़ालिब का क़दीम एडिशन हाथ लगा! मैं दीबाचा पढ़ने लगा आमतौर पर मैं किताबों के दीबाचे नहीं पढ़ता लेकिन इस दीवान की ख़ूबसूरत हिंदी उर्दू ख़त्ताती और नक़्क़ाशी ने मन मोह लिया ! इसके दीबाचे में ‘सरदार जाफ़री साहब फ़रमाते हैं मैंने पेशे-नज़र एडिशन के लिए मालिक राम के मुरत्तब किये दीवान का इस्तेमाल किया है! जिसका मत्न मतबा’ निज़ामी कानपुर के 1862 ई. एडिशन पर मबनी है और इसकी तस्हीह ख़ुद ग़ालिब ने की थी !’
चचा अब इसकी क्या हक़ीक़त है आप बेहतर जानते होंगे हाँ आपसे मुहब्बत बल्कि अक़ीदत का ये आलम ज़रूर है कि लाला योधराज की दरियादिली के सबब हिन्दुस्तानी बुक ट्रस्ट वजूद में आया और इस ट्रस्ट की पहली किताब दीवाने-ग़ालिब 1958 में मंज़रे-आम पर आई! जिसका जलवा आज तक क़ायम है!
आपसे अक़ीदत का एक और नमूना आपके इन्तेक़ाल के सौ बरस बाद इसी शहरे-देहली में आपकी मज़ार के क़रीब देखने को मिला 1969 में ग़ालिब सदी मनाई गयी और इस मौक़े पर आपकी मज़ार के पास आपकी याद में हकीम अब्दुल हमीद साहब ने ग़ालिब अकेडमी की बुनियाद डाली इसी अकेडमी की जानिब से सन 1993 में आपके दीवान का एक और ख़ूबसूरत एडिशन छपा मालूम हुआ कि इस दीवान का मत्न भी मतबा’ निज़ामी कानपुर के 1862 ई. एडिशन पर मबनी है! ये सब मैं आपको इसलिए बता रहा हूँ कि मैंने भी मतबा’ निज़ामी कानपुर के 1862 ई. एडिशन से इस्तेफ़ादा करते हुए ये ऑडियो दीवान तैयार किया है!बल्कि मैंने इसके अलावा और भी किताबों से मदद ली है हाँ आख़िरी हिस्से में ज़रूर अपनी समझ (जो कि रत्ती भर भी नहीं है) के मुताबिक़ कुछ मुन्तख़ब अशआर शामिल किये है!
कॉपी पेस्ट के इस ज़माने में भी मैंने थोड़ी सी मेहनत करने का जो जज़्बा दिखाया है उससे आप यक़ीनन ख़ुश होंगे! कॉपी पेस्ट से याद आया कि आजकल फ़ेसबुक से लेकर ट्विटर तक बल्कि कभी कभी संसद में भी आपके शेर कसरत से देखने सुनने को मिल जाते हैं जैसे कि एक शेर है जिसका मुआफ़ कीजियेगा मैं पहला मिसरा तो नहीं पढ़ सकता हाँ दूसरा मिसरा ये है कि ‘एक ढूंढो हज़ार मिलते हैं’
इसी तरह एक शेर और याद आया
‘’ताउम्र ग़ालिब यह भूल करता रहा,
धूल चेहरे पर थी आईना साफ़ करता रहा’’!
इस तरह के और भी बहुत से अशआर हैं
चचा मेरा मसअला ये है कि
‘चलता हूँ थोड़ी दूर हर इक तेज़रौ के साथ
पहचानता नहीं हूँ अभी राहबर को मैं’’
सो राहबर यानी आपके अशआर की खोज में मैं ग़ालिबयात से मुतल्लिक़ किताबों के सफ़हात पर सफ़हात पलटने लगा! नुस्ख़ा-ए-हमीदिया, नुस्ख़ा-ए-शीरानी नुस्ख़ा-ए-अर्शीज़ादा समेत जनाब कालीदास गुप्ता रज़ा,ग़ुलाम रसूल मेहर यहाँ तक कि मतबा निज़ामी कानपुर से 1862 ई. में छपा आपका दीवान भी खँगाल डाला, लेकिन मुझे आपके सोशल मीडिया वाले मशहूर अशआर नहीं मिलने थे सो नहीं मिले!
ख़ैर ये तो ठिठोली थी चचा! आपकी सुहबत में इतना तो होगा ही आख़िर ख़रबूज़ा ख़र्बूज़े को देखकर रंग बदलता ही है!
ये मज़ाहिया तम्हीद इसलिए चचा कि आपसे एक मज़ेदार बात साझा करनी है!
वो ये कि डॉ. सय्यद मुईनुर्रहमान नामी एक शख़्स आपका दीवान मुरत्तब करते हैं उसमें उन्होंने ग़ालिब से मुहब्बत और अक़ीदत का इज़हार करते हुए बताया कि वो सन 1972 में ग़ालिब यानी आप पर पीएचडी की डिग्री हासिल करने वाले पहले पाकिस्तानी शख़्स हैं! ख़ास बात ये कि अपनी तहरीर में मुईनुर्रहमान साहब आगे लिखते हैं-
‘’1981 के पसो-पेश मुझे आगे पीछे लाहौर में पुरानी किताबों के एक कारोबारी मर्कज़ अनारकली के फुटपाथ से तीन नादिर मतबूआ किताबें और दो क़ीमती मख़्तूते मिले इनमें ग़ालिब के उर्दू दीवान का एक ऐसा मख्तूता भी था जिसकी किताबत ग़ालिब की ज़िन्दगी में और उनकी निगरानी में हुई’’ मुईनुर्रहमान साहब इस क़लमी नुस्ख़े की बरामदगी उसे सहेज कर रखने और उसे ग़ालिब के दीवानों तक पहुँचाने की सारी मेहनतो-मशक्क़त का बयान तफ़सील से करते हैं और ये दीवान नुस्ख़ा-ए-ख़्वाजा के नाम से साल 1998 में पब्लिश होता है !
लेकिन ये क्या पब्लिश होने के कुछ ही वक़्त बाद मुईनुर्रहमान साहब इल्ज़ामात के घेरे में आ जाते हैं सन 2001 में लाहौर से एक किताब पब्लिश होती है जिसका उन्वान है ‘’महाकमा दीवाने-ग़ालिब नुस्ख़ा-ए-लाहौर’’ और ब्रैकेट में लिखा होता है मसरूक़ा।
इस मसरूक़ा लफ़्ज़ ने मेरे कान खड़े कर दिए अदब में चोरी के कई बड़े मुआमलात मैं सुन चुका था लेकिन दीवाने-ग़ालिब में कैसी चोरी? पढ़ा तो समझ आया कि दीवाने-ग़ालिब में नहीं बल्कि दीवाने-ग़ालिब की चोरी हुई है चचा हमने सुना है कि पंजाब यूनिवर्सिटी लाहौर में आपके दीवान का एक क़लमी नुस्ख़ा था 1957 में क़ाज़ी अब्दुल वदूद साहब लाहौर आये और इस नुस्ख़े का रोटोग्राफ़ ले गए उसी रोटोग्राफ़ की मदद से सन 1958 में इम्तिआज़ अली अर्शी साहब ने दीवाने-ग़ालिब तरतीब दिया और उसे नुस्ख़ा-ए-लाहौर क़रार दिया पता ये चला कि क़ाज़ी अब्दुल वदूद साहब के रोटोग्राफ लेने के बाद किसी रोज़ वो क़लमी नुस्ख़ा पंजाब यूनिवर्सिटी की लाइब्रेरी से किसी ने चुरा लिया या ग़ायब हो गया और ‘’महाकमा दीवाने-ग़ालिब नुस्ख़ा-ए-लाहौर’’ में दर्ज मज़मून के मुताबिक़ प्रोफ़ेसर जाफर बलोच, ख़लीलुर्रहमान दाऊदी डॉक्टर तहसीन फिराक़ी जैसे आलिमों का कहना है कि ये वही चोरी हुआ क़लमी नुस्ख़ा है जिसे मुईनुर्रहमान साहब ने अपनी तहक़ीक़ बताकर नुस्ख़ा-ए-ख़्वाजा के नाम से पब्लिश किया इस सिलसिले में दलीलों का अम्बार भी तमाम दानिश्वरों ने अपनी तहरीरों में पेश किया है चचा इसकी पूरी हक़ीक़त तो आप ही बेहतर जानते होंगे मैं तो बस आप तक ये ख़बर पहुँचाना चाहता था, चाहता तो ये भी था कि अभी और भी बहुत सी गुफ़्तगू आपसे करूँ मसलन आपकी मश्हूरे-ज़माना ग़ज़ल ‘’आह को चाहिए इक उम्र असर होते तक’’ की रदीफ़ बाद में ‘’आह को चाहिए इक उम्र असर होने तक’’ कब और क्यों हो गयी? या मैं जानना चाहता था कि अगर अलिफ़ से लेकर बड़ी ये तक सारे हुरूफ़ रदीफ़ में न आयें तो क्या उसे दीवान कहा जा सकता है अगर नहीं तो फिर आपके दीवान को मज्मूआ क्यों न कहें? कुछ क़ाफ़ियों और इमला को लेकर भी सवाल थे लेकिन याद आया कि ये ख़त है कोई आम नहीं कि बक़ौल आपके मीठे हों और बहुत हों सो मैं डॉक्टर अब्दुर्रहमान बिजनौरी मरहूम के इस जुमले के साथ आपसे इजाज़त चाहता हूँ हिन्दुस्तान की इल्हामी किताबें दो हैं मुक़द्दस वेद और दीवाने-ग़ालिब।
