इक्कीसवीं सदी के दो दशक बीत चुके
तीसरे दशक की दस्तक पर
दरवाज़ा खोलते ही मिली तमाम आपदाएँ मुझे
शुक्र है पिछले दशकों का
जो उन्होंने दे दी हमें मोबाइल और इंटरनेट।
इंटरनेट मुझे इंटरनली रूप से लगा थोड़ा कमज़ोर
और इतना मजबूत कि समय का हर हिस्सा
जुड़ा था इंटरनेट की सेकेंड वाली सुई से
ऐसे प्लेटफॉर्म उपलब्ध हैं जिनपर
पुरानी प्रेमिकाओं के ब्लॉक्ड अकाउंट
वर्तमान प्रेमिका के न्यू अपलोड फोटो पर चिलमिलाते तमाम कमेंट और भविष्य की प्रेमिका को भेजा जा चुका फ्रैंड रिक्वेस्ट
ख़ैर ‘भविष्य भरा हुआ है संभावनाओं से अतीत वर्जनाओं से
और वर्तमान शंकाओं से ।’

फिर भी कह सकता हूँ मैं कि हमारी सदी तैयार है
प्रेम के हर नये वर्जन को करने के लिए अपडेट।
हमारी सदी के लोगों ने किया प्रेम
संक्रमण के उस कठिन दौर में
मरने से पूर्व पीपीई किट में गले मिले दो प्रेमी
उन मुश्किलों में जब नहीं पहुँच पाते थे हाथ आइशोलेशन वार्ड में
ख़ैर पहुँचे तो आक्सीजन और रेमडेसिविर भी नहीं थे ,
सब प्रेमिकाएँ थीं नर्स और सारे कोरोना वॉरियर प्रेमी
मृत्यु के भय में वे बचा रहे थे प्रेम ।
रसिया-यूक्रेन युद्ध में
जब भूने जा रहे थे घर गोलियों से
उड़ाई जा रही थीं दिवारें बमों से
एक खंडहर दिवार के पीछे दो देशों के झंडे को ओढ़े खड़ा था प्रेमी युगल
एक दूसरे को चूमते हुए ध्वस्त कर रहे थे डिप्लोमेटिक सरहदों को
उन्हें विश्वास था मरने के बाद लाशों की ढे़र बिथखोड़ने पर
मिलेंगी उनकी लाशें हाथ थामें हुए ।
और जिन अनाथ उँगलियों ने गिने
अपने माता-पिता के असमय शव
वो भूल गये कि होता है ईश्वर
उन्नीसवीं वीं सदी ने की थी ईश्वर के मृत्यु की घोषणा
इक्कीसवीं सदी ने कर दिया है पिंडदान
जहाँ-जहाँ लिखा है ईश्वर
वहाँ-वहाँ लिखना है प्रेम
हमारी सदी को नहीं है आवश्यकता ईश्वर की
आवश्यकता है उसे प्रेम की ।
2) हिल स्टेशन का संगीत

उदासी और मुस्कान
एक साथ
अब ऐसा ही है
जैसे बारिश भी और धूप भी ।
तुम्हारा बिखरे बालों से ढ़का धुँधलाता चेहरा
जैसे कोई पुराने फिल्म का प्रिय गीत
जिसे आधुनिक संगीत
चाहकर भी लील नहीं पाता कभी ।
तुम्हारी याद
जैसे हील स्टेशन का संगीत
जिसे वहीं किसी खाई में
छोड़कर लौटना था वापस ।
3) भूखा इंडेक्स

अँतड़ियाँ ब्राउन ब्रेड की तरह
सिक रही मँहगे गर्म मद्धिम आँच पर
उड़ रहा खून, सोख रहा मक्खन जैसे
विश्व के दूसरे सबसे अमीर व्यक्ति के रिहायशी देश में
एक मध्यमवर्गीय विस्थापित मुलाजिम अखबार के साथ
सिंके सिंके ब्रेड
खा रहा सुगर फ्री चाय लिए
और कह रहा है
झूठे हैं ग्लोबल हंगर इंडेक्स में भारत के भुखमरी के नंगे आँकड़े।
4) मृत्यु

धीरे – धीरे अप्रासंगिक हो जाऊँगा मैं
तस्वीरों की धूल मिट्टी हो जाएगी
अभी खिला हुआ मासूम फूल अगले पल मुरझाए झरेगा
मेरे चारों ओर बिखरे कागज और किताबें केवल याद भर हैं
मेरी याददाश्त खोते ही वे हो जाएँगी रद्दी
हर बात पीली पड़ जाएगी हर चेहरा धुँधला जाएगा
तुम्हारे एक बार और आने की सनसनी खबर भी एक दिन
बासी अलिखित असंरक्षित होकर समाप्त हो जाएगी ,
दादी के मरने के बाद जो बचा रखे थे नाखून और चुन रखे थे जो
नहीं हैं अब वे बचाए हुए सफेद टूटे बाल
न पहली कंचे गोली बची न किताबों के बीच छिपाया मोरपंख
पुराने जूते का फीता जो किसी नये जूते के फीता खोने पर लगाना था
नहीं है अब वो भी
आँखों के सामने जिस चवन्नी अठन्नी और पचास पैसे को खत्म होने की डर से बचाया था वो भी बिना खर्च हुए नहीं बचे
बचपन की छोटी मोटी ही जो शरारतें थीं
वो भी पेंसिल रबर की तरह घिस घिस कर खत्म हो गये ,
सब कुछ खत्म हो जाता है
हर शुरुआत का अंत होता है
जिसे- जिसे बचा कर रखा है वो सब गुम होंगे
पुराने प्यार को भुलाने के लिए नया प्यार करना पागलपन है
किसी एक की याद मिटाने के लिए नयी यादें बनाना जाहिलीयत
पहले जो नमक थे वे आँसू बाद में शक्कर नहीं बनेंगे ।
खुद को जिन चीजों में , जिन लोगों में , जिन एहसासों में
थोड़ा – थोड़ा कम- ज्यादा बँटा हुआ पाया
आख़िरी तक उनमें खुद को खत्म होता भी देख लिया ;
कहीं पर किसी में
बचा रहना जीवन है
और धीरे- धीरे खत्म होना मृत्यु ।

दुख की शक्ल

टूटा क्या था
वो प्रतिरूप जो गढ़ा गया था
या उसके अपरूप से मिलने वाला प्रेमी
स्वरूप नहीं टूटता है
प्रतिरूप टूटता है
मधुमक्खी के भिनभिनाने में शहद होता है
मच्छर के भिनभिनाने में रक्त
पर भिनभिनाने का कोई स्वाद नहीं होता
डंक जरूर होता है ।
फूलों में काँटे होते हैं
काँटों में फूल नहीं होते
नमी जरूर होती है ।
वो दु:ख
जिसे पूरा भुलाने की चेष्टा में
आधा- आधा याद करता रहा बार-बार
आवृत्ति ने उसकी तीव्रता बढ़ाई ही सदा,
नहीं लिखा जा सकता है संसार का पूरा- पूरा दुख
दुख की कोई लिपि नहीं होती
भाषा जरूर होती है ।
अवसाद का संगीत
दूर कहीं से बजते ही हम उसकी धुन पहचान लेते हैं
सुन कर पहचान लेने के बीच के अंतराल में
मेरी तुम्हारी अवसाद के बिना धुन दिए हुए हैं कई गीत
इन अप्रस्तुत गीतों से चल रही है संसार के अवसाद की फिल्में
अवसाद की कोई धुन नहीं होती
संगीत जरूर होता है ।
उदास चेहरों को उदासी दूर से पहचान लेती है
एक तरह होते हैं दुनिया के सभी उदास चेहरे
शक्ल इंसानों की होती है
उदासियों की कोई सूरत नहीं होती
सीरत जरूर होती है।
