संजय कुंदन मेरी पीढ़ी के ऐसे कवियों में हैं जो शोर शराबे से दूर रहकर कवि कर्म कर रहे हैं। मध्यवर्गीय जीवन के रोएँ रेशे जिस तरह से उनकी कविताओं में उघड़ते हैं उस तरह से कम कवियों में दिखाई देता है। अभी हाल में ही उनका नया कविता संग्रह प्रकाशित हुआ है ‘तनी हुई रस्सी पर‘। पढ़िए उनकी कुछ नई कविताएँ-

करियरिस्ट लड़की
किसी शाम एक चौराहे पर
तफरीह के लिए खड़े तुम
जब किसी लड़की की आंखों में झांकते हो
तुम्हें उसकी देह की खरोंचों का
का अंदाजा नहीं होता
जब वह बदहवास इधर-उधर देखती है
तुम्हें लगता है
वह अपने यार के इंतजार में है
या अपने शिकार के
तुम्हें क्या पता कि
वह एक खोखल की तलाश में है
जिसके अंधेरे में खुद को छुपा सके
तुम सोच भी नहीं सकते कि
वह अभी-अभी किसी तरह बची है
बलात्कार से
तुम जब उसके कपड़े के भीतर के भूगोल
की थाह ले रहे होते हैं
वह अपने बीमार पिता के बारे में सोच रही होती है
जिनका इलाज उसी के पैसे से चल रहा होता है
वह अपने छोटे भाई-बहन के बारे में सोच रही होती है
जिनकी पढ़ाई चलती है उसी के पैसों से
कल सुबह
जब तुम उसका चेहरा भूल चुके होगे
वह नहा-धोकर तैयार भागती हुई
फिर वहीं पहुंचेगी
एक बहुमंजिली इमारत के एक कमरे में
जहां वह एक सफेदपोश का शिकार
होते-होते बची थी
वह रोज की तरह मुस्कराती हुई
सबको गुड मॉर्निंग कहेगी
उस सफेदपोश को भी
जो उसे सबके सामने ‘बेटी-बेटी’
कहकर पुकारता है
हो सकता है पांच साल बाद
वह अपने साथ हुए हादसे का बयान करे
और अपने लिए न्याय की मांग करे
औरतखोरों के खिलाफ
मुंह खोलने वाली लड़कियों को
अब कुलटा नहीं करियरिस्ट कहा जाता है
उस लड़की के बारे में भी कहा जाएगा
कितनी चालू है
पांच साल तक मजा लिया
जब काम निकल गया तो एक
शरीफ को फंसा दिया!

महिलाओं की चोरी की आदत
मैंने कई सभ्य अधेड़ महिलाओं को
खरीदारी करते हुए
दुकानदार की नजर बचाकर
दो-चार टमाटर, सेब, चम्मच, कटोरी आदि
अपने झोले में डालते देखा है
उनकी हैसियत देखते हुए
यह प्रवृत्ति मुझे विचित्र लगती रही है
इसका राज तब खुला
जब मैंने अपनी नानी को खाने में से
कुछ हिस्सा छुपाकर रखते देखा
अपने लिए थोड़ा खाना छुपाने
या छुपकर खाने की मजबूरी
बाहर भी थोड़ा बहुत हाथ साफ कर लेने
की आदत में बदल जाती होगी, ऐसा मेरा अनुमान है
महान संयुक्त परिवार में
पुरुषों के खाने के बाद ही
स्त्रियों के खाने का चलन रहा है
औरतों में भी बड़ी-बूढ़ियों को खिला लेने के बाद ही
बहुएं खाती रही हैं
सबसे छोटी बहू का नंबर सबसे बाद में
औरतों का सबके सामने खाना
पाप के बराबर रहा है
ऐसे में हम जिसे चोरी कहते हैं वह स्त्रियों के लिए
अस्तित्व रक्षा का यत्न रहा
विराट सांस्कृतिक परंपरा के रथ में जुती हुई स्त्रियों ने
अपने को और कई बार अपने पेट में पल रहे
जीव को बचाया
अपने हाथ की सफाई से
ढह रहा है संयुक्त परिवार का किला
एकता कपूर!
तुम कब तक बेचती रहोगी उसका मलबा
देखो, स्त्रियां ठठाकर हंस रही हैं तम्हारे धारावाहिकों पर
देखो, चाट के ठेलों पर लगी हुई है महिलाओं की भीड़
झुंड के झुंड लड़कियां जा रही हैं सड़क पर
आइसक्रीम चूसती हुईं
पॉपकॉर्न खाती हुईं

हैप्पी फैमिली
वह आदमी जिसने अपनी पत्नी और दो मासूम बच्चों
का गला रेतकर
खुद अपनी नस काट ली,
हर समय मुस्कराता रहता था
उसके बारे में अखबार में छपा कि वह अवसाद में था
और यह भी कि उसकी पत्नी से नहीं बनती थी
हालांकि व्हाट्सऐप पर रोज वह सुप्रभात के साथ
जीवन में विश्वास बढ़ाने वाली सूक्तियां भेजा करता था
फेसबुक पर वह हमेशा घूमने-फिरने
और अपनी पत्नी के साथ
होटल में खाने की तस्वीरें डालता
एक दिन उसने अपनी बेटी की फोटो
के साथ यह सूचना दी
कि उसे 95 फीसदी अंक मिले हैं
जिस रात उसने यह कांड किया
उसके ठीक एक दिन पहले उसने
अपने परिवार की तस्वीर डाली थी
और लिखा था # हैप्पी फैमिली

गरीब रिश्तेदार
जब सुबह-सुबह किसी गरीब रिश्तेदार का फोन आता है
हमें लगता है, जरूर वह पैसा मांगेगा
कहीं वह इलाज के लिए तो नहीं आ रहा
या किसी को नौकरी के लिए तो नहीं भेज रहा
जब पता चलता है उसने ऐसे ही फोन किया है
तो हम डांटते हैं
कि एकदम सुबह-सुबह फोन मत किया करो
हम देर रात सोते हैं
मेहनत करते हैं
यह कोई गांव नहीं है कि हम खाली बैठे हैं
बहुत कठिन है बड़े शहरों का जीवन
यहां रहो तो पता चलेगा
और फिर जब काफी दिनों तक
बाद उसका फोन नहीं आता
हमें गुस्सा आ जाता है
हम भुनभुनाते हैं
देखो भाव बढ़ गए हैं उसके
दो पैसे क्या आ गए
पता नहीं खुद को क्या समझ बैठा है !

कविता की नौकरी
कविता लिखते हुए वह डरा रहता था
कहीं वह गौरैया सचमुच न आ जाए उसके पास
जिसका उसने कविता में जिक्र किया है
कहीं आकर यह न कहे कि चलो मेरे साथ जंगल में
अगर एक दुखी आदमी उसकी कविता से निकल
उसके पास आ गया तो वह क्या करेगा
कहीं वह कह न दे कि
चलो अस्पताल ले चलो
ऐसी ही अनेक आशंकाओं से घिरा रहता था वह कवि
जो नौकरी करने की तरह कविता लिखता था
वह अपने ही वाक्यों से डरता था
उसे यह चिंता सताती रहती थी कि कहीं
उसके किसी शब्द से कोई वरिष्ठ नाराज न हो जाएं
वह यह सोचकर भी घबराता था
कि साहित्यिकों की दुनिया से
बहुत देर बाहर रहना पड़ गया तो वह कैसे जिएगा
एक सच्चे नौकरीपेशा की तरह
वह अपना ध्यान हमेशा प्रोन्नति पर केंद्रित रखता था

कैसी लड़ाई
यह कैसी लड़ाई है
जो हमारी सभा में
सबसे ज्यादा गरजा
वह दूसरे दिन दिखा
दुश्मन के साथ
उसकी मोटरसाइिकल पर पीछे बैठकर
जाता हुआ
जिसने एक जोरदार कविता सुनाई
शत्रुओं के खिलाफ
वह कुछ ही दिन बाद
नजर आया उनके सम्मेलन का
संचालन करता हुआ
जिसने तंबू कनात का खर्चा उठाया
वह भी दुश्मन का ही आदमी निकला
यह सचमुच कठिन लड़ाई है
न जाने दुश्मन कहां किस वेश में मिल जाएगा
मदद पर आमादा
आमंत्रण और पुरस्कार लिए।

शहर में डिब्बे
सुबह होते ही
डिब्बों की आवाजाही शुरू हो जाती
इस शहर में
सुबह होते ही
प्रकट होते अचानक सड़क पर
ढेरों मोटरसाइकिल सवार
रंगीन टोपियां पहने
भारी-भरकम थैले लादे
वे एक के बाद एक
घरों में पहुंचाते डिब्बे
कहीं डिब्बे से जूते निकलते
कहीं मोबाइल
कहीं कपड़े
तो कहीं खाना
एक आदमी डिब्बा खोलकर देखने के बाद
घर से बाहर
इस तरह निकलता
जैसे डिब्बे मे बंद हो
उसे आकाश गत्ते का नजर आता
जिसमें चांद-तारों की जगह लटके नजर आते
तरह-तरह के सामान।

उसका जाना
जब वह गया तो
उसके साथ कई कहानियां भी चली गईं
असल में वह खुद एक कहानी था
जरा पूछो उसकी पत्नी से
वह उसके बारे में ऐसे बताएगी जैसे
वह किसी परीकथा का नायक हो
वह कई बार गायब हो जाता था घर से
फिर अचानक लौट आता था
वह एक कलाकार भी था
जो रात के आखिरी पहर
बांसुरी पर कोई धुन छेड़ देता था
उसकी बेटी बताएगी
वह एक अलग तरह का पिता था
जरा पूछो उसके दोस्तों से
वह गांधीजी को याद करता था
और कहता था
कि अभी अगर बापू होते तो सब ठीक हो जाता
लेकिन सरकार और मीडिया ने उसे सिर्फ एक किसान माना
किसानों पर लिखे गए असंख्य निबंधों वाला एक किसान
और कहा कि एक और कृषक ने आत्महत्या कर ली
इस तरह इस वर्ष खुदकुशी करने वाले किसानों की संख्या 11998 हो गई
वह दस्तावेजों में 11998 वें के रूप में दर्ज हुआ
उसकी खुदकुशी याद रखी गई
लेकिन फंदे पर झूलने से पहले तक
उसने जो कुछ जिया
उसे भुला दिया गया।
अच्छे लोग
अब अच्छे लोगों के बारे में बातचीत
नहीं के बराबर होती थी

किसी को अच्छा कहने के पहले
अब बेचारे जोड़ने का चलन हो गया था
जैसे- वे बेचारे… अच्छे आदमी हैं।
